The Merged Trade for Deebo Samuel Thread

With the way negotiations have gone I doubt they just let him pick wherever he wants to go like Tyreek. It's just a matter of if he's okay with going to the Jets and willing to sign an extension there.

If that would happen at the very least Jets should win any bidding war if they truly wanted to include the 10th pick. It's not as simple as he picks his favorite spot.

If anything, 49ers would prefer to send him to the AFC if all else is equal.

I think they’d have to do a lot of work to convince Deebo to give up the Niners for the Jets.

Lions packers and Jets being reported. They won’t trade him to a rival. Lions do have 32/34 so they would concern me a bit but like Hill, Deebo can say no to them to sign long term.

Surprised Atlanta, Philly and NE are not on that list.

I'm guessing that list isn't comprehensive.

Doesn't seem like a Belichick move, but you never know

Possibly. But BB has traded a 1st for a WR before. He also brought in Moss who was actually a head case.

You’re probably right that the list is incomplete. But….If Atlanta and Philly do not jump into this bidding war, the Jets have to be the favorites. No way is SF trading him to GB. And if the east coast thing is real, Detroit is off the table.

Painfully obvious that JD wants to trade for a WR and not draft one. I just hope he can hold onto 4 and 10 like he was going to with Hill

Definitely wants an experienced wr, and also, he realizes that to get the wr he wants he has to use that 10 pick but he wants to use the 1st rounders for the OL and DL not wr.

It’s irrelevant because Deebo can effectively veto any trade by refusing to sign an extension

Conversely, the 49ers can tell him to **** off, either show up and play or get fined heavily - and then we’re gonna tag you next year! Can’t see them trading him to the Packers.

Shanahan doesn’t strike me as a guy who thinks his system can’t work without any one particular player. Especially with Trey Lance set to be the starter moving forward.
