If the Jets Trade for Danielle Hunter it makes JDs job easy. The first 2 picks can go Sauce and London and dedicate later rounds to defense and depth. Just Get Hunter to go with Lawson and game on!

Hunters' $18.5M base salary was converted to signing bonuses meaning that Hunter will not be traded. That move was necessary to bring in Smith.

Two Edges, two WR"s, a TE and a LB and I'm happy this draft (conceptually, obv. they have to be descent players, lol)

We have to get a CB in there don't you think?

Another major need is a DT. So we're pretty much guaranteed to have a hole here are there after the draft.

I’m not concerned about drafting any particular position this year. We need to come out of this draft making sure we have at least 4 long term starters going forward. It doesn’t matter if it’s ER, WR, CB, Safety… whatever. We need good players.
If we can do that this year, we’ll finally have the beginnings of a competent NFL team in 2022. Then we can look to areas of specific need next year.

Look at our roster… we’re a small step above an expansion team talent wise. If you think any one (or two) players, regardless of position will put us over .500 this year, you’re fooling yourself. We’re at best one more offseason away.

One edge up high is fine.  We have to assume Lawson will play this season and be very good, if not completely back to the terrorizer he was last pre-season.

Lol, maybe.  We all have our favorites.

Hell, some folks thought Mims was the bees knees.

Yep, this is why JD gets paid the big bucks. He has to make the right call - including whether to just take his favorite one at #4 and not let a team like the Falcons have first dibs on a WR.
