ScouserJet
Only on a trade back. Only way we get him is if we trade back with saints or eagles and use that extra 1st for him. Dont think he’s 4/10 worthy.

Then you factor in his strength which gets exposed in traditional pass protection sets. His world class film as a zone blocker is the one thing that's keeping him in the discussion as a 1st rounder. I wouldn't be surprised if he fell to the 2nd round. Would the staff be comfortable selecting him then? Would be an excellent get if he fell to the 2nd round, with the system we are running he’d be a good fit even with those noted limitations….I think he’ll be a really good 10 year starter but talk of drafting him anywhere inside the top 22 picks is madness

68JET11
Nothing to overthink... We needed him last season, especially when GVR was still playing, maybe not so much now because of the moves we've made and the FA's we've signed, but make no mistake, he'd be a welcome addition to this team. MysticalJet2
I’d be fine with this. C is the second most important position for the offense, completely underrated, and this would significantly upgrade the online as a whole for many years to come. Irish Jet
Safest guy in the draft. Will be a top 5 centre within a year if not instantly. Want.

PepPep
If I trade back, I'm taking Devin Lloyd. If Linderbaum starts to slide I'll trade up for him.

TheClashFan
I love this guy, but not with a top 10 pick. If the Jets do a trade back, sure, consider him, but depends on who else is still on the board. If for some reason he's there when the Jets draft in the 2nd round, it's a no brainer to take him. That would be a great value pick. OT is a much bigger need than C, though, on the O-line. And yes, Edge and WR are bigger needs.

We seem set at G even with backups. At T we could use another one via the draft, but ideally somewhere around the 3rd round. It would be great to nab C Linderbaum since he has a high ceiling at the position and we can then save close to 10M by letting McGovern go. That could go a long way towards a potential post draft trade say for a position we do not address well enough in the draft or just a clear upgrade with exp. and high talent, though a WR trade likely has to be pre-draft or most teams would not do it. Unless we can entice some team like the Titans to trade AJ after the draft if they get WR(s) during the draft and don't want to pay him. If we did pick a T high then that can even assist in a trade with the Titans to include say Fant if they need a top 5 LT and maybe we can throw in a 2023 draft pick or so. Why not finish up the unit, so long as we get 2 more play makers on offense. Sure grab an edge and LB. Don't stop the O rebuild. We can't do everything in one off season. Get a few D, the rest can wait until next year. So are most other teams... If Mahomes goes down, or Rodgers, or a few others, those respective teams are in trouble. You can continue building 'insurance' and depth, but not at the price of a 1st round pick to sit and wait 'just in case'.
Bungaman
Only if he's available in the second round. Too many other urgent needs. McGovern isn't an all star, but with very competent guards on both sides, he can concentrate on his own responsibilities. There is also something to be said for continuity - it takes a while for guys to get used to each other on OL, and making a change at center, a tackle spot and a new guard seems like a lot of adjustment.
