I liked Thibodeux, I watched a lot of his games. And you know some evaluators said he took off some plays. Do you know I watched  Jordan Davis took off some plays. He even did this in the SEC Championship game. And look around him who he had to play with. Thibodeux did not have that luxury. In a few games I watched it looked like he was the only one on that defensive line doing his job and others.

Ok, question 1: why are professional evaluators like yourself so divided on Thibodeux? And I don’t mean the so-called selfish attitude. I’m seeing deep divisions just based on his tapes.

I bolded the guys I like most.  Surprised you have Mafe so low.

IF the Jets don't hit Edge at 4 or 10, then I want them to seriously consider trading up from 35 to get Ebiketie.  I think there's a better than 50/50 chance that 3 years from now Ebiketie turns out to be one of the Top 5 Edge guys from this class.

Like I stated these top edge rushers all have that speed and power. I watched Ebiketie and he is not far from the top 6. Ojobo has the most upside. Imagine he just picked up the game of football a few years ago. It was unfortunate he got injured.  I watched Walkers tape so much and remember he is playing with other fabulous defensive players. He is about all brute strength and a burst of quickness. But I don't seeing him going around the edge like these others. He doesn't give you the swim move or bends low to avoid that tackle.  Others have him going 1st because of the combine.

Walker is hard to figure out.  He's already very good but the thing that would push him into the Top 3 is projecting what he can become, not what he already is.  IMO, he feels like a better, more athletic version of JFM.  Just a bump better across the board in most areas than what JFM already gives the Jets, and they can both play a bit inside and outside.  To me, Walker seems like an ideal 3-4 DE.  He has that in-between size where he's a bit small for DT and bit big for that 4-3 down DE at 6'5", 272 lbs.

I agree. Can he bend to get around the tackle like Dwight Freeney. I don't see that now. I see it with Ojabo.

Yeah, that's my bad. I wasn't thinking that a 3-4 rush LB would potentially translate to a 4-3 DE. I was thinking about a lumbering 3-4 LB out in coverage.

No problem. Enjoy the draft. In am watching the NFL network and it feels like the Emmy Awards. Talking about how they dressing.

I love the wiz

tell me tony is it better/safer to go with one 1st round edge or picking up a pair like arnold/ kingsley/mafe in rounds 2/3.

i dont think these top guys are slam dunks. Id rather hedge my bets and since we have the picks why not. Plus, u can rotate them and keep em fresh.

am i stupid?

In the NFL today, you need a top Edge rusher and a Cornerback. So those positions I would take with my 4th pick. But you need that CB first since there are two really good stop corners. So hopefully we get Sauce or I would pull the trigger on Stingley at 10.
