Not to mention hasn’t been the playoffs in years . You wish your roster was anywhere as talented as the Raiders . Not going even say anymore , as there is no need . Really laughable is when you come here and talk shlt about the Jets playoff record when since you’ve been posting here the Jets playoff record is much, much better than the Raiders, have been to the AFCCG twice with a 4-2 playoff record, while the Raiders havent won a single playoff game. Now that’s laughable.

The former Patriot offense line coach can think he can coach up Leatherwood for Rt , or Jermaine Eluemunor played Rt for the them would be okay going with him if they have to. That’s all good in theory but training camp gets here and the Ots have to line up against Max Crosby , Chandler Jones , and Malcolm Koonce - 2 sacks in very small sample ( 17 in total pass rush opportunities) in trying camp every day . It all gets real very quickly. Sure that’s when you might have to adjust your plans and go get that veteran Ot innFa, or through a trade. Raiders offense line went through some growing pains early but the offense line pick it up considerable down the stretch.( every game was a playoff game) . The only Raiders offense lineman on wrong side of thirty is D Good ( projected Starting Rg) whose 31 . The whole rest of the offense line is all young .( no one even close) It takes time to build cohesiveness on the offense line , and the more this group plays together the better they will get. Raiders brought in Patriots respected offense line coach, and he confident in his ability to coach these players up. The Raiders, in particular are a crap trade partner. They have no 1st or 2nd round picks this year. I can't see them parting with their 2023 first round pick and even if they would, it hurts us this year as we'd have to use 4 on an LT just to tread water. And can you imagine how much better he will get from the day before we trade him to the day after? If not, have no fear, Raideraholic will fill you in with charts. If Becton is hurt by week 3 which is a very likely scenario getting a 3rd look like a steal

Just curious. I like how he says the Raiders were forced to start Leatherwood at G because of injuries. It doesn't really explain why he didn't stick at RT. Hint, it's cause he played like sh*t. To be fair, like everyone else, I was surprised they took Leatherwood that early and felt he was a reach, but I did not expect him to suck that hard. Good chance he turns things around a bit this year.
Bungaman
If the Raiders go anywhere this year, it will be as a result of Carr being reunited with Adams, and staying healthy. The problem is that they will compete for a playoff spot with Denver, Kansas City and the Chargers. Another issue will be - as it is with any team - settling into a new coaching staff and system: the first year ALWAYS takes some time to work out the kinks. Their schedule isn't easy: Chargers, Cardinals, Titans, Broncos and Chiefs to start it off, and the only deadbeats they play are the Jags, Texans and the Cheats (can't resist.) Good chance he turns things around a bit this year. No I said due to his draft status as a number 1 pick he had to play somewhere . After first three games at Rt , he had to play somewhere on the line - Rg became his position. A Leatherwood didn’t play well at Rt his rookie year , no excuses. Big deal neither did Kolton Miller who has developed into one of the better Lt in the games . Again playing Rt with more experience right guard ( Denzel Good) next to him can only help him, than him playing next to another inexperience player. The point is Raiders offense line is going to be light years better this year , and it didn’t matter last year as they won all the games they had to as each game was a playoff game down the stretch. Did enough to get the job done. Immortal words of mr Davis just win baby. Now just try to get to October playing meaningful games - Jet fans . J E T S - just end the season . Every game last year down the stretch was a playoff game( must win). You don’t win those games if the offense line didn’t start to play much better. (Was one of the youngest offense lines in football last year ) Raiders have only one question mark is at Rt . They are going to give Alex Leatherwood every chance to win Rt - probably won’t . He probably not a Rt but will eventually be pro bowl guard . Leatherwood probably starts on he bench - first guard backup . J Eluemunor I expect to be starting Rt when season starts . He started at Rt for this coaching staff already . He’s a lot better player than who the Raiders started last year ( B Parker - out for the season) The thing is they will give the Rt help with Te and the Rb. Carr gets rid of the football real quick. The interior of offense line is fine as they have a lot of quality depth. Parham ( their third rounder ) will backup center and guard too. With leatherwood and Parham even if they lost a guard or center these guys easily slide into starting lineup . K Miller is one of the top Lt in the league . Eluemunor ideally you would like to be swing tackle , than starting( still 20 times better than B Parker who started 13 games last year. . Munford will be swing tackle . Right now just need another Dt that can rush the Qb. That’s the biggest need right now. Other than that this team is loaded on offense and defense . Chandler Jones and M Crosby coming off the edge( m Koonce the third pass rusher) . This might be the best defensive personal Graham Dc has to work with. Have so many many to man cbs ( N Hobbs , Roc Ya-sin , A Averett , T Mullen( wouldn’t be surprised they traded him for simple reason Ya sin , Averett , Phillips , and Mullen are all on one year deals - at best probably can keep 2 out of 4. ) , d Phillips- nickel back , A Robertson . Have a lot of cover Lbs ( j Brown- strictly third down - replace D Perryman the run stuffer ) and Devine Deablo - has Kam Chandler ability . Fs T Moehrig can do it all . Ss j Abram will just play the run downs only. D Huron or Nate Hobbs who will play everywhere . Outside, Slot and even at safety will be the other safety on passing downs. P Graham will show a Qb so many different looks., and this defense matches up quite well against big time passing offenses.
