The only Raiders offense lineman on wrong side of thirty is D Good ( projected Starting Rg) whose 31 .     The whole rest of the offense line is all young .( no one even close)     It takes time to build cohesiveness on the offense line , and the more this group plays together the better they will get.       Raiders brought in Patriots respected offense line coach, and he confident in his ability to coach these players up.      They have a lot young talent on the offense line that bodes well for their future, now getting the five best guys on the field.

If Becton is hurt by week 3 which is a very likely scenario getting a 3rd look like a steal

I like how he says the Raiders were forced to start Leatherwood at G because of injuries.  It doesn't really explain why he didn't stick at RT.  Hint, it's cause he played like sh*t.  To be fair, like everyone else, I was surprised they took Leatherwood that early and felt he was a reach, but I did not expect him to suck that hard.  Good chance he turns things around a bit this year.

If the Raiders go anywhere this year, it will be as a result of Carr being reunited with Adams, and staying healthy. The problem is that they will compete for a playoff spot with Denver, Kansas City and the Chargers. Another issue will be - as it is with any team - settling into a new coaching staff and system: the first year ALWAYS takes some time to work out the kinks. Their schedule isn't easy: Chargers, Cardinals, Titans, Broncos and Chiefs to start it off, and the only deadbeats they play are the Jags, Texans and the Cheats (can't resist.)

No I said due to his draft status as a number 1 pick he had to play somewhere .   After first three games at Rt , he had to play somewhere on the line - Rg became his position.   A Leatherwood didn’t play well at Rt his rookie year , no excuses.   Big deal neither did Kolton Miller who has developed into one of the better Lt in the games .      Again playing Rt with more experience  right guard ( Denzel Good) next to him can only help  him, than him playing next to another inexperience player.

The point is Raiders offense line is going to be light years better this year , and it didn’t matter last year as they won all the games they had to as each game was a playoff game down the stretch.   Did enough to get the job done.  Immortal words of mr Davis just win baby.      Now just try to get to October playing meaningful games - Jet fans .    J E T S - just end the season .

Every game  last year down the stretch was a playoff game( must win). You don’t win those games if the offense line  didn’t start to  play much better.    (Was one of the youngest offense lines in football last year )   Raiders have only one question mark is at Rt .    They are going to give Alex Leatherwood every chance to win Rt - probably won’t .   He probably not a Rt but will eventually be pro bowl guard .           Leatherwood probably starts on he bench - first guard backup .     J Eluemunor I expect to be starting Rt when season starts . Right now just need another Dt that can rush the Qb.   That’s the biggest need right now.      Other than that this team is loaded on offense and defense .     Chandler Jones and M  Crosby coming off the edge( m Koonce the third pass rusher)  .  This might be the best defensive personal Graham Dc has to work with.   Have so many many to man cbs ( N Hobbs , Roc Ya-sin , A Averett , T Mullen( wouldn’t be surprised they traded him for simple reason Ya sin , Averett , Phillips , and Mullen are all on  one year deals - at best probably can keep 2 out of 4. )  , d Phillips- nickel back  , A Robertson .     Have a lot of cover Lbs ( j Brown- strictly third down - replace D Perryman the run stuffer ) and Devine Deablo - has Kam Chandler ability .   Fs T Moehrig can do it all .  Ss j Abram will just play the run downs only.   D Huron or Nate Hobbs who will play everywhere . Outside, Slot and even at safety  will be the other safety on passing downs.     P Graham will show a Qb so many different looks., and this defense matches up quite well against big time passing offenses.
