TuscanyTile2
For our 2nd rounder, LB feels like the "responsible pick". (And it feels like there are some real talents still available right now). I wouldn't mind a trade-down though. RB and TE can be gotten later on (and we need both). I'd like for JD to also get us a developmental OL and another WR (I'm hoping for Wan'Dale due to Jif's hype about the guy). Of course, if JD loves a player at 38 then just take the guy and don't look back. I'm thinking maybe Watson or Skyy might be in play. I think we still need more WR for Zach. 2

For all the talk about how "QBs will always be taken in round 1" and "we can trade down at #4 or #10 for a QB", there was only 1 taken last night and I think he was taken at pick #20 (Steelers/Pickett).
Facts
I’m not as high on the 1st round selections as everyone else seems to be, but let’s see how round 2 goes. 1

If the need arises, I could see us paying for relief there. 100% on the rest of you list. I’d add DL, as there are a few very good ones thru round 2. Reality is BPA at this point. We can make use of anyone. My thought is that the draftable tackle crop has dropped a few tiers and we could squeeze some picks out of an OL-needy team that doesn’t check for cholesterol levels.
Popular Post Barry McCockinner
I have to think LB is the #1 area of need at the moment. Not sure it's going to be close to value though (doubt Dean makes it to 38). Double dipping at EDGE or WR wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit. 4
FidelioJet
Would love to see a RB. But like many are saying - I expect the pick to be S or LB though. There should be really good value for both and certainly needed.
Grandy
LB would be a good pick but the idea of Breece Hall or a double dip WR is real exciting.
Popular Post Larz
Jets have a shot at the best RB in the draft or best TE in the draft. I look forward to our new DT ? 2

Definitely need a safety. Our safeties are below average. RB would be nice, too. We also need a Mike LB.

BeaconJet
10 possible names for round 2 from Connor Hughes: Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia Travis Jones, DT, Connecticut Jalen Pitre, S, Baylor Breece Hall, RB, Iowa State Kenneth Walker III, RB, Michigan State Logan Hall, DT, Houston Jaquan Brisker, S, Penn State Chad Muma, LB, Wyoming Christian Harris, LB, Alabama Bernhard Raimann, OT/G, Central Michigan I would love a LB, to eventually replace Mosley. Would have no problem improving the safety group, taking a RB, DT, or double-dipping on WR. Lots of talent available to hit on any of those needs tonight.

TheClashFan
I'd say Raimann as the swing/developmental OT, but he supposedly has some sort of medical condition. If so, the Jets probably won't draft him since they didn't take Trey Smith last year before KC did in the 6th round following his fall in the draft. JD might want to trade back to try to either pick up an additional pick or move up in the 3rd round.

I would be surprised to see LB, even with Dean still there. RB is a very interesting debate, but more likely I think that happens on Day 3. I have not done nearly as much digging this year as I have in the past, but here’s my shot at a Day 2-3 Jets mock draft… TRADE: 2(38) to BAL for 2(45) and 4(119) TRADE: 4(111) to CAR for 6(199) and 2023 4th 2(45) DT Travis Jones 3(101) OL Luke Goedeke 4(117) TE Jeremy Ruckert 4(119) S Alontae Taylor 5(146) RB Pierre Strong 6(199) OL Matt Waletzko 6
