For DL: listed starters really don't matter in this defense; everyone plays a lot. If healthy, the top 4 guys in terms of snap counts will be Quinnen Williams, John Franklin-Myers, Carl Lawson, and Jermaine Johnson. What do you think Huff & Jacob Martin’s role will be? Marshall & Zuniga as well

A big RB and a young TE to develop would be nice also, but really, this is a dramatically different roster than we put on the field at the end of last season. By my glance, we have upgraded 7 positions and if we get Lawson and Becton back healthy, that will make 9. Almost half of the starting roster. They traded Sam a year ago. Like duh. I'll see myself out

I agree, I’m sure Conklin will see the field a lot more than Wesco. You could argue that's accounting for when they line up 3 WRs & 1 TE or 3 WRs & 2 TEs with an empty backfield. But then if that was true they'd show a 3rd/SLB even while showing 3 CBs. I mean, if we had one, lol.

Saul Goodman
Elijah Moore is not a slot guy. He’s smaller and shifty but he can play any of the receiver positions, including outside.
Alka
5 hours ago, Sperm Edwards said: Without splitting hairs over the actual/nominal position title, it seems doubtful that Wesco starts over Conklin. Would like to see a LB and another RB. Wouldn’t cry if they added a run stuffing DT. OL can wait until round 4 or even 5 given the unusual number of veterans still unsigned (and yeah they should sign one, which should be that much easier with the number of tackles taken thus far plus upcoming). He listed 12 players on offense, so neither player will be starting.

Bam! Nice analysis and completely agree. I’d add that JFM starts at end and JJ comes in as a pass rush specialist, sliding JFM inside. It’s unclear who the Jets have in mind as a run stopper at DT. Rankins stunk last year and they only added Solomon Thomas who is more of a pass rush guy. They either fill with the 6th rounder from last year if they think he is ready or they add in round 3 or 4, or via remaining FA. I predict in round 3 or 4. At FS, I have Pinnock as my guy who showed well at the end of the season. With Joyner back, I think Ashtyn Davis is on the bubble.

I agree Pinnock looked much more natural at safety than he did at corner. This team is stacking up some nice depth as Elijah Reilly and Kai Nacua looked decent at times as well.

RevisIsland610
This defense was atrocious last year. If they can stay somewhat healthy(I know, big if) this could be a huge turnaround.

SoFlaJets
Here's an updated depth chart which includes our day 2 picks and it has Breece Hall as the starter at RB over Michael Carter. Also, Jeremy Ruckert is moved ahead of Kenny Yeboah as the 3rd TE
SoFlaJets
This was the team's DC from a year ago, after the 2021 draft compared to what it is at this moment in time...only 10 out of 22 players are the same...8-9 here we come? I hope not...
