Becton probably going to play RT, which should insanely improve our running game... AVT and Becton lol.

For DL: listed starters really don't matter in this defense; everyone plays a lot. If healthy, the top 4 guys in terms of snap counts will be Quinnen Williams, John Franklin-Myers, Carl Lawson, and Jermaine Johnson.

What do you think Huff & Jacob Martin’s role will be?

Marshall & Zuniga as well

How bout it Jimmy? Another OL or 2 (in case Becton eats himself to death) and another viable FA signing for the LB corps/D backfield and we could have something here. Great job Joe!

Yes, this makes it clear that SAM is the biggest hole remaining on the roster.

Depth at OT is also a concern.

A big RB and a young TE to develop would be nice also, but really, this is a dramatically different roster than we put on the field at the end of last season.  By my glance, we have upgraded 7 positions and if we get Lawson and Becton back healthy, that will make 9.  Almost half of the starting roster.

They traded Sam a year ago. Like duh.

I'll see myself out

They’ve got 12 players in the starting lineup, lol. I agree, I’m sure Conklin will see the field a lot more than Wesco.

You could argue that's accounting for when they line up 3 WRs & 1 TE or 3 WRs & 2 TEs with an empty backfield.

But then if that was true they'd show a 3rd/SLB even while showing 3 CBs. I mean, if we had one, lol.

Without splitting hairs over the actual/nominal position title, it seems doubtful that Wesco starts over Conklin.

Would like to see a LB and another RB. Wouldn’t cry if they added a run stuffing DT.

OL can wait until round 4 or even 5 given the unusual number of veterans still unsigned (and yeah they should sign one, which should be that much easier with the number of tackles taken thus far plus upcoming).

He listed 12 players on offense, so neither player will be starting.

Swap Becton and Fant, remove Wesco, upgrade from Quincy Wiliams (who I like), upgrade from Ahtyn Davis (who I don't like), take into account JFM and Bryce Huff rotating in on the DL, and Hall, Echols, Pinnock rotating in the backfield, and Berrios as the 4th WR, and this roster ain't looking half bad on paper.

Bam!  Nice analysis and completely agree.

I’d add that JFM starts at end and JJ comes in as a pass rush specialist, sliding JFM inside.

It’s unclear who the Jets have in mind as a run stopper at DT.  Rankins stunk last year and they only added Solomon Thomas who is more of a pass rush guy.  They either fill with the 6th rounder from last year if they think he is ready or they add in round 3 or 4, or via remaining FA.    I predict in round 3 or 4.

At FS, I have Pinnock as my guy who showed well at the end of the season.  With Joyner back, I think Ashtyn Davis is on the bubble.

I agree Pinnock looked much more natural at safety than he did at corner. This team is stacking up some nice depth as Elijah Reilly and Kai Nacua looked decent at times as well.
