When I coached I wouldn't allow it because it gets stifled easily with a little inside help, but is impossible to defend in space when the DE has a two-way go and the tackle is just reacting. 4
LAD_Brooklyn
Connor Hughes @Connor_J_Hughes Robert Saleh says the right tackle job is wide open. Rookie Max Mitchell is very much in the mix. #Jets believed he was developmental, but he’s actually further along than they expected, Saleh says. Good sign.

sciond
Well he might not be a future of famer like Yeboah but he seems to be pretty good and have some upside.

NewGuyJet
This is all exciting. Now that we know we have two competent starters at OT, the idea that Max Mitchell, a 4th, could be our backup/swing OT, and way ahead of schedule, is very exciting. Whatever your view of Becton was, every team suffers injuries. The good teams seem to find a way regardless. It would be great to think we're actually one of them.

freestater
I certainly hope he's a solid tackle. It would be so nice not to see the offense go to hell when a lineman goes down. With Brown on board and Mitchell a hopeful improvement at backup, I'm just glad we have this taken care of this long before the first game. Give everyone a chance to get up to speed.

TuscanyTile2
I think we're jumping the gun on Max Mitchell. What else would we expect Saleh to say about a guy he knows is likely to be in the starting lineup as a rookie?
