Strengths

Sees the field very well when the play breaks down and occasionally changes plays at the line.

Good zip and ball placement on the quick slant. Good touch down the seam and on post-corner, flag routes to attack the defense vertically and horizontally.

Good (not elite) arm strength and can easily make all the NFL throws with effortless deep passes.

Athletic quarterback who is a threat to leave the pocket and gain positive yardage at any time. Possesses very good vision balance, elusiveness and deceptive speed and power as a runner.

Gets the ball out quickly, making ·splitsecond decisions. Good short to intermediate level accuracy, demonstrating the ball placement to allow receivers to run after the catch.
 

Weaknesses

Too often fails to give receivers a chance to make a play after the catch. High completion percentage padded by many quick screens.

Inconsistent downfield passer and puts too much air under his throws.

Needs to improve his touch at all levels and know when to gun it and when to take something off his throws. Accuracy is solid, but far from great with streaky ball placement downfield as he tries to thread the needle too much.

Scouts' concerns with him begin with his sub-6-foot frame. The Drew Brees success stories are few and far between in the NFL. The lack of height will force him to look around - rather than over - massive offensive and defensive linemen in the NFL, making it difficult to find good passing lanes.

Has struggled with his decision-making and needs to improve his pre-snap recognition skills to read defenses and see blitzes. Doesn't decipher information as quickly as you would like, but does see the entire field and understands coverage.

Jets bringing in so many QBs is interesting. Apparently, they had in offer in on Jack Coan but he chose to go the the Colts.

Might be looking for a developmental guy for the PS, with the intention of only carrying 2 QBs on the 53.

If that is the case that means Number1 Wilson and Number2 Flacco with a PS QB and Mike White maybe getting traded especially if a team gets a QB injury in preseason. I suppose getting at least a 3rd round draft pick for White would be fine.
