Lots of depth on that Eagles interior OL, so they let him go to seek a better opportunity elsewhere. Which is nice for him, and nice for us. I mentioned this the other day in regards to the LB, DT, & S issues, too. This is the time of year when teams will let players they like get another opportunity if it’s clear they’re not gonna make their roster. There’ll be more mini-draft to come.
Bruce Harper
Why is anyone remarking on the fact that an NFL Olineman is fat? Isn’t it a requirement of the job?Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app

Not the best scenario but I've seen a lot worse with this team. I feel we're like one tackle away from being set for real realz

Maybe someone loses a guard in the summer and is willing to throw a late round pick at us for a guy with some starting experience. But if our OL stays healthy, I don't see a role for him and with no dead $ if we release him. Seems like a long shot to make the roster. On one hand the idea of being able to acquire something for him sounds ridiculous, but the other hand Joe Douglas got a sixth round pick for Blake Cashman and a fourth round pick for Chris Herndon. Also depending on how the offseason goes, Jets might want some depth at LB, DT, or maybe S and try a player for player trade. The corner room seems pretty in play for that too.
