It appears the Cap hit is roughly 13 million per year over 4 years. Base Salary looks to be 3.5 million per year for the first 4 years. It looks like Sauce got his money up front

4 years, $38.7 mil comes to an average of ~$9.7M per year, Bonus is about $6.3M per year on the cap, plus base which likley escalates during the four years.  I would guess about a $7.5M - $8M hit this season.

He is now a wealthy young man.

Saw a lot of these contracts were getting done quickly around the league this year, didn’t expect the Jets to be one of the teams getting it done. Having their top guy signed sets the stage to see them all done quickly.

Playing in New York I wish his nickname was Gravy and not Sauce

Depends on who we're playing. If we're playing an animal based team (Falcons, Seahawks, Bears, Rams) he'd be called Gravy. For every other team he'd be Sauce (Giants, Raiders, Patriots, Titans).

Amazing what can happen if you basically stick to the standard draft slot contract terms unlike what we tried to do with Revis back in the day. Before it blew up in our faces that is.

Good news.,
