I could always cover background vocals.  But playing guitar and singing lead vocals together was beyond my pay grade.  Just would always screw up the rhythm.  Most impressive part of the video is how he keeps his strumming hand perfectly consistent.  Good voice, too.

That is such a hard part to cast.

You need the musical talent, the ability to also act, the right age, the right look, the right voice.   And, it's freaking Elvis.   Everyone knows Elvis, my kids know Elvis, my parents know Elvis, you can't get it sorta close, it has to be ON.
