Any certificed lifeguard/aquatics instructor?

Recommended Posts

I am looking to become a lifeguard/aquatic fitness instructor.  I swim 5-7 times a week; it is my true passion. I also workout 4-5 times a week in the gym, mainly HIT and circuit.

I am looking for ACSM accredited colleges and I have a few already in mind. I am working on lifesaving courses (CPR/First Aid/AED) with the Red Cross.

I can only tell you my dear Jets Nation, that at 52, I am in my best shape of my life and swimming has transformed my body. I recommend all of you to look into it if you haven't yet. It is the ultimate exercise, full body, with the least amount of impact on your joints and muscles.

Attached is the love of my life!

If you're looking to do it more as a hobby than depending on it as full time employment, great.  Otherwise it pays rather crappy.

A lot of my close and extended family are EMTs of some type or another.

It's a hobby. I am retired now but want to give back and help others achieve a superior fitness level and a healthier lifestyle.
