Hand injuries are some serious sh*t man. All those little bones in there that never can quite heal right together. Super common problem in boxing.

If only there were people here who suggested that maybe flinging an undersized WLB at 300-lbs OTs 12x a game might be a bad idea.

Jamal was on a HOF trajectory here. His 2nd and 3rd year in the NFL was unreal. Even in 2020 with Seattle he almost set the record for sacks at the safety position.

I really don’t think the Jets wanted to trade him, and likely would have paid him what Seattle ended paying him had he not forced his way out of here.

Just another in a long list of wasted 1st round picks that date back to at least 2008 and possibly all the way to 2020.   How anyone can defend Woody for hiring Idzik and then Mac is beyond me.

Jamal... is that you? Kidding. Jamal was/is decent. NOT worthy of such a low pick when we needed a QB.

Fingers and toes have tenuous healing because such small blood supplies. The blood brings all the healing stuff and the vessels get smaller and smaller the further you go from the heart.

Wrists can be a bitch too.

I dunno, my experience with it is it’s also you break anything in the hand you usually **** up a lot of little things and now they all have to heal. A broken arm or leg, that’s usually just one thing to deal with. And even if/when the hand finally heals it’s a crapshoot if it’s the same as it was.

Best example of this is Mayweather actually. In the Pretty Boy Floyd days he regularly went in for the kill earlier in his career before having hand problems (I think it was around the first Castillo fight) and that’s when he changed his whole style. Even had a hand specialist at all his training camps.

Remember that all star advisory board that Woody relied upon to select MacDaddy?

Good times!

I'm gonna own my piece of this.  I was reluctant to trade a young star at the time.  I was concerned we'd draft a guy who was just not as good as Adams and regret it.

Until I heard the actual offer.  I was able to jump on board at the sound of two first round picks.  Looking back now, it was one of the greatest trades in NFL history for the Jets.  If this team really does turn it around, we will look at that trade as one of the pivotal turning points.

This was me as well. Once I heard what JD got I was 100% on board. Jets regimes past would’ve traded him for a 2nd round pick. I was not in favor of that.

Or would have given him 20 million a year with 60 guaranteed

I hope he gets back to 100% soon and Seattle continues to suck.

No reason to jump on Jameeel about his finger/ health woes as he got what he wanted and got his big payday but TYJDTY for getting rid of the second coming of Mo Wilkerson.

Time to turn the page on Jameeeel and his era of Jets football as it appears the team is on the cusp of having sustained run of being a playoff caliber and dare I say it Super Bowl winning team. Very optimistic about the Jets future

I’ll give Jamal Adams sh*t any time I wish, for any reason.  F**kkkk that guy.

My only regret is Seattle had but so many picks to give us.  I wish we had even a 5th rounder left so Jamal and Geno could deliver us pick # 145 or so in 2023.

I'm not going to cheer when someone is hurt or gets hurts.  That's as low class as it gets.

I may not like Adams, nor wanted Adams drafted by our team, but actively cheering when he's hurt is just....smh.

Him saying he was ready and raring to go was all an act. He stopped playing last season. He knew all offseason that his fingers weren’t right. He’s mailing it in. He want no part of an ugly season.

He wants no park of making tackles, so this isn’t really a shocker.

That’s fine as it is your prerogative to feel that way. I am glad that he’s off the team and the Jets are closer to being a playoff squad and a championship contender than the Seahawks are which will burn his ham hocks even more when the Jets eventually raise the Lombardi trophy and he is on the outside looking in

With Geno at the helm, it is an absolute certainty.

I remain skeptical that any NFL team would go into a season with Geno as the starter. Absent a trade, I think Pete ends up going with Lock but we will see…

Also Geno could be facing a suspension from his DUI arrest. Unbelievably, they don’t expect the blood work from that arrest until OCTOBER. He was arrested end of December.
