I sometimes forget the Giants took Wan'Dale.  Him and Toney together could be fun for Giants fans.  2 of the twitchiest WR's in the league on the same team could be dynamic if Barkley and Galloday return to form.

Might be more exciting if your options at QB weren't Tyrod Taylor or Bizarro Sam Darnold

I mean what else is he going to say?  That Wilson drops 2 or 3 balls per practice?

3 catches for 15 yards against a mix of Falcons starters and scrubs in preseason game #2.

Louis Riddick comp'ed him to a HOF'er during the game.  Basically called him the next Lynn Swann.

The Jets have this habit of publicly anointing guys they invested highly in before they ever do a thing.

As much as I hate the Patriots, I like how they take the opposite approach.  Everything is team-oriented, and they tell rookies and new guys to basically shut up and work.

Riddick is a really smart guy and not one to just throw praise for ratings or to hear himself speak.

Whether that turns Garrett into Swan - who knows - but while I have been very high on Wilson both ability and character of what we have seen so far, if Riddick is on board that makes me that more comfortable.

Saleh is basically pre-committed to Zach Wilson regardless of any developing evidence or circumstance.

At this point, I actually want Wilson to play even though I think he'd bomb.

If he balls out, great.  We have some hope he might actually be the guy.

If he does what I'd expect him to do -- look objectively bad, take unnecessary sacks, and turn the ball over -- perhaps Saleh might actually wake up and consider what's best for the team.

Riddick has some absurdly bad takes

"So, are you going to let Evan Neal get away with telling everybody that?"

No doubt he's smart.

But these TV guys get excited way too easily and hyperbole has become the norm.

I am getting poser vibes. Week 1 will tell a lot. The T-shirt slogans before winning tends to backfire.

Okayyy. Now we go from August practices being a predictor of team success or failure this season, to 20 preseason game plays being the ultimate barometer to week 1 being all-telling of how an 18 week season will go.  Week 1 is one game of 17.  It will tell a lot about how the Jets played in week 1 and very little about they will play in week 2 and weeks 3-18.  The NFL season is a marathon, not a sprint.  The first week always gets ridiculously blown out of proportion.

Last season, the Rams were winless in preseason and won the SB.  The Bills lost to the Steelers in week. 1.  What did any of that mean?

I mean you can measure things without the overarching vibes you’re giving here. Little things add up and matter. Blowing everything off as nothing matters is just a cope at this point.

There is a reason they call it overreaction Monday. Remember all those years the Pats were done and Brady was washed and then he'd win MVP and they'd win the SB?  lol

I’d pretend to be okay also if Ulbrich came to check on me. Sucky Pox is contagious AF.

Like if you're choking and Ron Jeremy walks over to give the Heimlich then through gasping breaths you're like, "nah, I'm good, I'll walk it off."

Gotcha.  Looked real enough as low-res as it was.

Amazing to think people actually do that to living, breathing people, often people they say they love....

Wasn't there some football player or someone accused of doing this just recently? It rings a bell.

Psyched and relieved JJ is not injured badly. But he doesn't seem to be the monster we were looking for.  Maybe be a solid to very good edge setter that gets pressure once in a while.

So you are really ready to make this call after his first training camp?  Maybe allow him to play one game his rookie year before declaring him a disappointment?

@Jet Nut remember all that you said about me being wrong about valuable players playing f******** specials??????????

SMFH this has me legit angry ?

You mean when you said a QB who doesn’t play specials and I said it’s irrelevant, QBs don’t play specials and then said LT played specials? Yeah, football players get injured.  And as I said, if they don’t play at all there’s pretty much 0 chance they get hurt.  So what
