I knew at first sight that Eli was going to win Super Bowls

We walked into that practice and some guy was selling rosters for $1 and it had the JetNation logo on it, do you remember that?

We were like um, 1) are we famous now and 2) how is this guy making money while we don't?  LOL. Crazy day.

"So, Michael, did you hear what Evan Neal said about your mother?"

"So, your mother doesn't go down to the Y and turn tricks for Big Macs?"

"So, are you going to let Evan Neal get away with telling everybody that?"

He's going to kill Evan Neal then kill him again

There seems to be a disconnect between what he’s saying and what practice is. I mean he’s preaching navy seal stuff but Quinnen can’t exceed 60% of the snaps in a game? No conditioning at practice either? What are we missing.

People used to mock RBs by committee, pitchers that only went 100 pitches,  nba players that didn't play back to backs. Now teams realize that rest increases performance and long term health.

So he can preach playing hard while also understanding that you don't also want to run your guys into the ground.

In the end,  he just needs to win games. We'll know if his system works by the end of the year..

He’s got a new t-shirt with a new slogan seemingly every week. Even if all the slogans are good, there’s such a thing as message overload. Gotta let one get traction before you adopt another one.

It’s too much and too cutesy for my taste. Plus “PVO” and “you have to reach your dark place of despair before you can unlock the 60% of your potential that serves as your atavistic survival reserve” are contradictory.

Psyched and relieved JJ is not injured badly. But he doesn't seem to be the monster we were looking for.  Maybe be a solid to very good edge setter that gets pressure once in a while.

Hasn’t the guy been getting pretty much a sack every practice?  What do you want from the rookie?

Check out the Parcells philosophy in this clip and then compare it to Saleh lol

Started writing my ripping response of the 60% idea ... but then thought its too easy to rip on and felt cheap.

Time will tell the truth.

If the guys are only 40% ready on Sundays we will know real quick.

All positivity, no 60%...I'm getting all the useless catchphrases mixed up now.

Floor is Bryan Thomas.  Great at setting the edge.  Sometimes got pressure.  Not a bad player.  A pro's pro.

Ceiling is impact player.  Consistent player that brings heat every game.  12+ sacks per year.

Hoping for the later.

People are so black and white on the Internet. A guy is either a stud or straight up trash. I think he will be a starting calibre player just not the sack master many wish him to be. By the way I think the same thing about Lawson for the same reason. Both guys have pedestrian lateral agility. I suspect this is why Lawson has (I think) the lowest recorded pressure-to-sack ratio in the next-gen stat era. He’s a moose and has excellent burst and can get into the backfield but has issues adjusting to a QB stepping up or to the side. Pressures are valuable and players who can pressure are valuable and I’m glad we have guys like that but I have a lot more hope for Michael Clemons to be the double-digit sack artist with his 93rd percentile 3 cone.

Is it a guarantee? Of course not. A ton of pass rushers flop despite elite 3 cones (ahem, Vernon Gholston). But it’s very rare in the last 5 years (that’s as far as I went back) for a pass rusher to be top 10 in the league in sacks without an elite 3 cone.

Did JJ run the 3 cone at his pro day?  I dont think JJ or Clemons ran it at the combine, and Clemons ran a 7.2 at his pro day, but Im not seeing any numbers for JJ?

I do agree he's a wait-and-see based on his college pass rush win rate numbers.

JJ didn't run it. I wonder why?

The team was terrible last year. Nothing he could say or do would make people happy. He just needs to win. If he starts to win, you'll start liking his shtick

I don’t care about it now, honestly, except that it may show a focus on the icing rather than the cake. You are right that I only care about winning but you are wrong that I’ll like his schtick because IDGAF if these people are cool, funny, nice humans — i only want wins.
