I’m trying not to blast individual posters but this is the problem.  There’s just this inability of a lot of people around here to even consider facts/opinions/statements that don’t subscribe to their “Jets will go 12-5” mentality.  I get it, this is pretty basic stuff across social media.

My question is what’s the point of posting your opinion if you want no part in defending it or challenging oppositions?

One pretty good rule of thumb is if a poster has spent countless hours on here, it's very (to the point of virtual impossibility) unlikely they are operating via bad faith vis-à-vis the Jets. Sure we all might get snarky in an individual post, but no one invests that kind of time on a team or site pretending to be a Jets fan. Sure we have some long-time Pats fans posters, but those dudes are pretty cordial and up-front with their allegiances. 

If there are any deep sleeper agents here pretending to be Jets fans just to sow discord, they need more than a PSA. They need the services @ZachEY. Sincerely.

Yeah and the Jets are in a position they haven’t had themselves in for a while. You look at the roster and there’s talent. There are expectations this year. If Wilson is an anchor and is struggling in practice while a vet like Flacco can move the ball…I mean it’s worth pointing out?

It seems the intention of this post is a "Get on board or get lost". If it's not, I don't think you're doing a great job of communicating to the people you think you're communicating to.. If there's not much to moderate about that type of post then why does this thread exist? 

Why not post some examples then because you have not made it clear who you're actually trying to aim this at.. because if you're talking to the altronbrown's of the board who are new accounts and very clearly trying to elicit reactions.. well, this post doesn't seem like it's going to have an effect on them.

This is just chilling anyone who has any criticism of the team. "Watch out with the "negativity" that we don't define!".

Yeah the site has gone to sh*t tbh. What a nonsensical thread. The draft was genuinely insufferable and even as someone who liked it overall I got absolutely lambasted on here for any kind of mild criticisms towards things I'd already said I wouldn't like weeks/months earlier. Ironically it was the guy who started this thread who said I was just "being miserable" for criticising the Hall pick in the draft when I'd said as much months before.

I've been posting here since I was sixteen. I have stayed up until 4-5am countless times to watch this godforsaken franchise get destroyed and yet I've been called a troll more in the last year than ever before simply for criticising the Jets and the existing regime. 

The Jets have been objectively terrible for 11 years. Our GM of the decade is 6-27 since he had a full off-season. Zach Wilson may have been the worst starting QB in all of football last season. There are positives for sure and I hope we turn things around but to act like any and all criticism must be in bad faith is just ridiculous.

I think at this point we just have to embrace the “troll” moniker for what it is — a cheap throwaway slur when an actual counterargument cannot be formulated. The usage of the same term for long term “negative” posters as for the burner accounts who vomit on the board for 20 minutes before getting banned, self-proves its absurdity.

No joke - I'm hopeful that that situation can be parlayed into success for Wilson.  It's not football, obviously, but it was clear Wilson wasn't a leader last year, and the team undoubtedly rallied around Mike White more than him.

I'm hopeful that what supposedly happened, the way Zach handled it, and the way the team (and others rallied around him), has a positive impact on him as a leader of this team.
