Sometimes not easy getting over the mental side of an injury - and that could be part of the reason he's reacting the way he is if this turns out to be nbd.

Looks like he'll be fine from what happened today n- but they just need to sit him for a while longer. He's just not ready.
Popular Post Greenbloodblitz
Mekhi Becton is done ...the guy is unreliable. The best ability is availability. Would have been a nice story but let's just move on. Same thing with Denzel Mims. Some guys just can't put it all together.. it happens. We have to put together a good football team that's what matters. Of course I want a 6 ft 8 monster at right tackle, but if the guy breaks his knees and ankles at the beginning of the year every year he's no good to us.

If anything, maybe some Jet fans feel beaten down and they deal with it by always expecting the worst (and maybe laugh at it as a way of dealing with the situation). But that doesn't mean that they're rooting for the worst. Two types of Jets fans — those that take out their frustrations on the team and those that take out their frustrations on other fans who take out their frustrations on the team. 3 2

I thought braces like this were mostly to protect things like ACL's. Not saying it would hurt, but just asking if the brace actually helps Becton given the injury he had. Thanks. Not a good sign for any knee, but particularly not for a rehabbing knee. Wish we went oline at 4 as injuries are part of the game. Hopefully he gets better soon, but injuries start to lead to other injuries with really big guys. Year round conditioning is key; not just when the union says so for contract purposes.

BurnleyJet
Looks like we are drafting a tackle, and Fant is getting paid. Becton is done that knee isn’t getting any better, the guy is far to big for it to hold up.

OMA
I never think of the OL as ind players but rather one "unit" with familiarity and consistency within the group being a key component. In order to build this you need availability which is what is so concerning about this situation. He may miss a day, week, month but it is not just him missing that time it is that trust with the RG and C that is being lost. I doubt we see him back before week 1. Just seems like his conditioning is causing these issues and he needs to improve this under the eye of the coaching staff.

It also becomes very difficult to evaluate everything else on the offense if the QB has no time to throw. And it was entirely predictable, to boot. Counting on Becton to stay healthy and counting on Fant not to regress to his mean was insane.

No way he was ready if that's the knee's reaction off a simple play from scrimmage. That knee was blown apart more than they ever let on. Now, Becton gets all the grief from us fans instead of JD, Saleh and the team in general.

Playing through some minor uncomfort was basically what Saleh told him he had to do. He made it this far, which was somewhat surprising. He either bounces back quickly and says he’s good or he doesn’t and the Jets have a decision to make.
