i cant give brady the #1 spot. main reason is that he was caught cheating more than once and he plays in an era where passing stats are inflated. you cant judge on superbowl wins as the be all end all because it takes a team for that to happen. joe montana is number 1 to me. i give brady number 2. after that i think you can put manning, marinoa nd elway in any order you want. and also make a case for other guys. i understand people who put brady number 1, i just think montana was better, and if i am putting a team together he is the guy i choose to lead my team

As for whether those 49ers teams cheated, Montana restated, "If you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin'," before adding, "You know, everybody does everything they can to possibly get a little bit of an edge. I mean, back then it wasn't illegal but it was illegal, like our guys used to spray — and everybody did it at the time — silicone on their jerseys, the linemen, so that the defensive linemen couldn't get a hold of them. And the defensive linemen did it so the offensive linemen couldn't hold them. It's a game. Everybody wants to win, so you do whatever you can to make it happen."
