It was.  The NFL still can't figure out how to rule catches.  Hearing Becht say that the ball could hit the ground as long as the player has hands underneath/around it is laughable.  If the ball hits the ground, it's incomplete.

If Zach is a 5th year QB and isn't a better QB than what Mike White is now I will surely agree with you....

Let me be very clear - Zach has yet to prove he can become a good QB (I nor anyone is arguing that) but he has the natural skill-set required to be a good one, so giving him time to grow has major upside if it works out.. -

Unfortunately Mike White doesn't have that skill-set - doesn't carry the big upside.  Playing a middling talent because he had a good game once isn't a smart strategy.   Mike White didn't take a 3rd string job because he had options.  The league knows what he is - he's been around long enough.

Lastly, - I like Mike White, think he's a good kid, works hard, team player - had that truly special game I loved...and wish he did have that upside and give me reason for hope - but just accepting reality.

Remember how good the playoffs were last year? There were way fewer penalties called. I was optimistic that it would carry over to this season but I doubt it.

On that goal line TD run,you could see Tanzel Smart get blown up.  He’s a gamer but too small to make the team at DT.

He’s an easy cut and borderline PS candidate IMHO.

Yeah, Becht is an idiot. When I heard him say that it left me scratching my head.. like you said once the ball hits the ground it’s supposed to be an incomplete pass.

Streveler is also cheaper I believe, and the JD might like the flexibility in cap dollars.

He was an UDFA. I think he’d last on the PS until about Oct/Nov when injuries start accruing 2-3 months into the season and teams start scavenging PS of other teams to refill their cupboards.
