Something is terribly wrong with the Medical staff on this team. First they say that Becton will be out 6-8 weeks with a dislocated knee cap which was not even a remote possibility now Zach was a 4 week recovery period now pushed to 8 weeks. Where did they get these guys from the local “Doc in a Box”?

Flacco will do fine the first 3 weeks. I could see him going 2-1 or 1-2

With that said, Zach's second year is off to a terrible start. He will need to come out on fire for the season to redeem himself. No injury excuses, no rust excuses, etc. This is 'the year' for him - judgment comes in on him no matter what after this season

Almost sounds like Jets know they have to see Zach with improved OL to say 'OK, we gave him a shot with new OL" but have internally decided from camp vs the 1s that they dont think 'he has the WCO DNA' and by waiting to week4 they are ON PURPOSE trying to find a way to see Mike White FIRST after Joe behind new OL than Zach.

It's getting close to flushing this season down the toilet.  This just sucks.  I can watch Flacco for one week. Watching him for 4+ weeks is just pointless for this team.  So we go from a 34 game audition for Wilson to 20-25 games?  This franchise just can't get a break.

With the Jets anything is possible. Starting Flacco is the right move but another month of being out screams bizarre.

This is some sneaky nonsense right here.

I think the coaching staff is taking advantage of this injury and playing it EXTREMELY safe because they legitimately feel the heat for wins and think that Flacco starting the first quarter of the season provides them that.

Additionally, if they do win + Flacco plays decent/well and Zack comes in and stinks it up...well hey hey its not us coaches Woody. We can win...its this Wilson kid's fault.

Very interesting to the say least. Hey, look maybe it will be good long term, let Zack heal up 100%, watch Flacco run the offense and maybe win some games, build some momentum and confidence for this team for his return.

This HC, this GM, This organization should be ripped to shreds over this B.S. The max healing time on this injury is 4 weeks. It's been 4 weeks. He's worked out with no swelling or ill effects. This is the NFL, not some H.S team. Stick a knee brace on him, and tell him to run out of bounds, or drop to the ground for a few weeks to avoid hard contact. This isn't rocket science.
