This team is not well coached

No team can play great defense when they are playing from behind 100% of the time.

Positives: Defense did what they needed. They came out hard and matched the Ravens.

Negatives: But they couldn’t keep it up. We needed the offense to put something in the board and they couldn’t.

Super negative: I think we did better than if Zach played.

😞

How much would we be winning by if Bill Belichick was our coach?

There are levels to getting your ass kicked.

There are respectable losses and then there are getting pile driven into the earths molten core.

Yeah seriously this was all coaching. Whoever says different is delusional, they also though gase wasn't the problem too. I like Saleh but he has not shown the ability to get this team ready with a winning game plan. He has the tools. Just not the plan

I thought it was going to be different but it looks like they didn't even prepare for the game

Fumbles, drops etc. Coaching matters. Since Saleh has been here Jets practices have been short and not overly intense, especially in camp.

Teams don’t usually go behind unless the other offense scores on their defense…

So? At some point the d will give up points. It’s inevitable. The jets had plenty of chances to score first in the last 4 fricken years.

I pray to God that he does NOT get a third year.

Jets are in a tough spot because they fired Gase after two years. Getting rid of coaches (even if they're clearly bad) so soon limits the quality of candidates who will take the job.

Lol - This is not a game lost due to coaching.

I respectfully don't agree.  Certainly there are other elements to this loss, but coaching is certainly one of them.

Deciding how the secondary would play man to man or not, starting Joe Flacco or White based upon their individual strengths and weaknesses.  Another head coach might have started White over Flacco.  Another coach might have had the team play man-to man, and this seems to be a strength of Sauce, who we picked up with our first pick. How come the tight ends were not involved in the game until very late?  Didn't the Jets just invest so much in the tight end position?  Isn't it up to the coaching staff to implement that part of the offense?

I think that coaching was not the primary reason for this loss, but to me, it is a secondary but not primary factor.

Considering the judgement of the Jets when it comes to assessing quality, that may be a good thing.

The Ravens made a few adjustments in the second half and blew us out in the third quarter.

The D was exploited before TOP was  a major factor.

You’re blaming this game on coaching?

Yes because it sucked.  Coach picked Zuerline.  Boyer should have been fired, his ST are a effing joke.  We ran twice and passed once so much that the ravens were like, wow!  this game was a gd joke.  It's on coaching and the GM who listened to the HC and made the moves he recommended.  If you can't see this, you are a fan of another team.

Somewhat ironic that we then got the #1 on our list to replace him.

Problem is the Johnsons somehow always manage to hire the lowest-priced  coordinator on the coaching market. Payton and John Gruden (admittedly with baggage) are both available next year. But like Bill Cowher going on forever, somehow, Jets will never hire that big time experienced coach. Heck, they don't even bother interviewing quality college coaches. So every HC forever is learning how to be a HC on the job here.

I wasn't going to jump on the coaching send-off just yet, but when you get blown out, your style needs to change. The team isn't benefiting from whatever he brings, needs to change tactics

Nobody is arguing that.  Certainly Saleh hadn’t shown much at all as a coach.  He needs to start making in game adjustments and getting results or he needs to be gone

No they are not, why do we have to watch a team play the same way from start to finish-even down 3 TDs still running these slow plodding plays-no fire-nothing coming from Saleh. Sean Payton should be hired tonight

Offensive approach is completely lacking; passive, not forcing the issue, practically giving up. Understandable Flacco is a statue, but they gave up today.

Because we're still one of the least talented teams in the league, and most of our talent was playing their first game, we have non-functioning special teams, all of which is almost insignificant in comparison to the fact that we were starting Joe Flacco (any other teams starting their backup this week?) and the offensive line has been ravaged by injuries and was essentially a disaster?

Happy to help.

Hope Saleh suggests the offensive line starts blocking and the players stop fumbling next week.

Hope Salesman plays Garret Wilson more than 3 plays when the game is still within reach. Hope he knows he has a back up QB with great running legs relegated to the PS. Hope he realizes Flacco stinks and should be a back up only, regardless of who the starter is. Hope he realizes that the game was not over altogether at 10-3 and give Mike White a series or 2 when Flacco stunk it up. You never know, White could have gotten hot.

Come on, stop making excuses for Coach Salesman, he is not a good HC. He's a real good talker, and has shown nothing but talk in the year he's been here. They've shown no improvement with supposedly beter personel thanks to the greatest GM in history, and have seemingly no chance to compete with good teams like today and its painfully obvious as to why.
