Sauce and new WR Wilson are home runs.  Defense in general played very well.

Jets problem is QB.

If they go with Flacco, they have to line up heavy and play smash-mouth.  Just like the Ravens did with Flacco.

That is something LeFleur should have known as a matter of course, but for some reason, he does not seem to understand form following function.

Jets have a major problem on offense.

1. Flacco needs to be in smash mouth offense, and LeFleur does not seem to understand that

2. Wilson is a college star out of his depth in the NFL (aka BUST)

It is a shame, because the defense is decent and they have nice pass catchers and ball carriers on offense, including two good TE's

I

We came out in 13 personnel had one good run and then stalled and stalled and stalled and then had to go pass only to try and catch up. They DID try smashmouth and it did not work

It will take a bit of time for the o-line and TE's to find their way.  That includes smash mouth.  If they go with Flacco, they have to keep pounding the rock.

Wilson's return wont help their passing game, btw.  Having Wilson back in there is not much different from putting a malfunctioning tennis ball machine behind the center.  He is awful.

They should have kept rolling with 13 personnel but instead of all predictable runs up the gut, mix in some THROWS out of it.

Don't feel like looking for it, but Warren Sharp has some crazy stat on success rates throwing out of 13 personnel.

Basic idea is nobody is expecting you to throw with 13 personnel.  They've got their heavy personnel in there to stuff the run, and those big fatties can't move or run.  All about exploiting weaknesses and targeting matchups.

Agree. You can pass out of a tight set.  When Kubiak was with the Texans he did it with great effect,

Whatever. So tired of the mindless Wilson bashing
