JetNation
Corey Davis spoke to the media on Wednesday and talked about taking things personally and getting back to work. Trying to improve hand-eye coordination through drills. Davis said, “You can have all the yards you want, it comes down to points.” The team needs to cut down on self-inflicted errors, drops and fumbles need to be eliminated. He was asked how can the receivers help against Cleveland? He told the media they have a great front, they need to trust the game plan that coach LaFleur puts together and execute. How do they hold each other accountable? Let them know about it, it isn’t just dogging each other about things. Hold each other accountable and pick them up. Be sure to stop by our NY Jets Forum and read more about the latest news from the team and their week two matchup against the Cleveland Browns. Charlie Brown
Thank you for the post! Davis is right. An offense should be judged by putting up points. Moving the ball up and down the field means nothing if you don’t score points, period. 2

sourceworx
The team isn't going to score points if you keep dropping passes, Corey. 3

FidelioJet
Ultimately it's actually W's and L's.....Is the offense needs to keep the team in games. there are a lot of variables - keeping your team in a position to win is the most important. Sure, if you can run up the score great, but it's putting points on the board at the right time that matters. Yards and even points don't matter if the game is lost - It's about answering the other teams offense.

Joe W. Namath
Davis was excellent on Sunday and was by far our best offensive player. If Flacco would have put that pass where it was supposed to be, he would of been perfect. Looking for another big game from Corey on Sunday! Greg555
Sounds like the players are even more motivated as a result of Saleh’s receipts comment. I expect them to be extremely fired up on Sunday. Unfortunately, it doesn’t mean much if we have a repeat level of performance from the O-line and from our immobile QB. I expect Browns to jam the box on D knowing LaFleur will be reluctant to call medium and deep route passing plays.

This was Gase's weekly refrain. "We were moving the ball well at times. We just gotta find a way to convert when we get down there."
