redlichtie
Just now, AlexVanDyke said: He doesn’t do much out there tbf he’s not being utilised properly, his strength is not running 9 routes down the sideline, we need to be smarter and play to his strengths but agreed he’s disappointing so far 4
jetstream23
Very underwhelming so far this year. Not sure what it is, but he doesn’t seem to be getting much separation today. Every pass thrown his way is contested. Not easy to make those receptions, but with so many of them I would have expected him to get at least one? 1
MR.GANGGREEN28
He gets open fairly easy on short and intermediate routes. I think we need to do a better job of getting him involved because he isn’t getting separation on the outside deep routes.
Popular Post derp
Agree with other posters. He needs to be used short to intermediate and let that open up double moves. He’s straight line fast but his biggest strength is change of direction. And the biggest weakness he has (which he can’t change) is that he’s short, so running nine routes where the corner can use the sideline as a defender and forcing him into contested situations in that area of the field doesn’t make sense to me. Wilson and especially Davis make more sense in that area of the field.

JetFreak89
He was open quite a bit last week but Flacco didn’t throw his way. I think this week is in reaction to that but the routes aren’t doing him any favors. I know they’re using Wilson in the slot which has been helpful for him but it’d be cool if they’d let those guys play off each other a little and switch between slot and outside.
Popular Post Prodigal Syndicate
He is being asked to do things he shouldnt. He should be the slot receiver.
LAD_Brooklyn
Moore is a slot receivers. He should be going more east-west then north-south. Only receivers that would succeed on a 9 routes is Mims who inactive and Wilson who's better served working all over the field. Davis at this point doesn't have the straight line speed he exhibited at the combine years ago. 2
Popular Post Gibby
Play design sucks more. He’s small as a pea. Needs to be in the slot with space- not outside on 50-50 balls. 4

Barton
Should have boxed out his guy on that missed TD pass. I believe it was the 1st or 2nd quarter. Left side of the endzone.
pointman
I got downvoted every time I said it, but Moore isn't the prophet that many are calling him. He isn't a long term monster like Garrett looks to be. We need a tall big man with speed and hands on the outside. 3
TheClashFan
He was an early 2nd round pick. He should be better than a slot receiver. Still let's see how the rest of his season pans out.

TheNuuFaaolaExperience
Game tape shows that he gets open. It doesn't help when you have Zach Wilson, Mike White, Josh Johnson, and Joe Flacco as your QB. With consistent play with a single decent QB, Elijah Moore is a 900-1000 yard receiver with 8-10 TDs.

GreenFish
Noticed this when I rewatched the Browns game. Noticeable difference between Wilson and Moore. Moore looks like he could be a solid #2 guy. He plays small.
jgb
I wonder what will happen when he decrease the quality of QB play to league-worst. 1
Popular Post Flea Flicking Frank
You ever notice how opposing coaches very often scheme plays that have receivers running wide open throughout a game? I very rarely ever see that with our offense. Moore is really quick, he should be able to be one of those receivers who is able to get wide open several times a game. I don't think he is being used properly 4

SomebodytoAnybody47
Let’s not throw jump balls to our 5’9 wr for starters. And actually use him properly.

carlito1171
Yes but I also think he’s being miscasted as well......too many jump balls being thrown to him along the boundary. He’s like 5’ 9’’ why do you(The CS not you OP) think he should be routinely winning those matchups against 6 ft CBs? ??♂️ He needs to be in the slot running crosses ins outs and stretching up the seam....

DoubleDown
He came up small today. He had a number of potential big plays where the ball hit his hands but he couldn't come down with it. Hopefully it's just a bad week and he bounces back. And no, he shouldn't be put in the slot. He should be on the outside and schemed to get the ball in space. I see receivers on other teams constantly getting open with pick plays. Jets just can't figure it out for some reason.
