Why You Have to Luv Sauce Gardner

Wish Booby had the balls Rex did and use him like that while he rushed that side of the defense at once!

I'm real tired of the gutless football. Remember when Bob Saleh was toted as this firey monster who needed a staff member dedicated to holding him back? That was cute.

Wow, so good in press coverage, let's play him in zone.

One of the reasons I thought we’d pass on a CB at #4 was due to Saleh’s devotion to his zone scheme rendering Sauce’s talents obsolete. Dont care, Sauce is incredible and idiot Saleh better wake up and adjust to the strength of his young elite defensive stud

imagine if Rex did this with Revis.

Wes Walker is lining up at the top of the screen but Revis is at the bottom. he is covering the Pats 4th best WR cause he is in zone..WTF.

Can someone explain how it is possible to have the worst ranked defense in light of the below:

I mean, that's extremely hard to do, gotta give Saleh credit..

problem is the CB pass off the WRs to the worst safety group in the league.

@bitonti didnt you say in another thread you rather have a OT at 4 than Sause? .LMAO i think he could be Revis good if we stop playing zone

Whether it’s Saleh or the DC or BOTH, how do you use draft capital up at 4 on a lockdown corner and and then dilute him by playing a scheme that is used lots of times to hide players who are not close to Gardner’s caliber?

Saleh and almost all his staff remind one of Many unqualified Jet staffs of the past.  They have their scheme and they just will Never deviate from it, because that’s All they know.  If they tried to coach to a player’s individual strengths they just couldn’t because all they know is their scheme, and they’d be more exposed as lousy coaches.

Communication between Cbs and the safety tandem. The Jets must have the worst rate of blown coverages in the league. Once you combine with the overall  indiscipline kinda makes sense.

Sauce Gardner and Garrett Wilson could be the best first two players drafted in a single draft by the club since D’Brick and Mangold in 2006.

And it's clear that Max Mitchell is a keeper.  He's obviously not a bust.  The question is whether he can grow into a better than average starting RT.  If so then that's great.

Hall and JJ look like players too.  Not overwhelming yet but it's early.

The only real question mark so far, simply because he hasn't seen a ton of reps, is Ruckert.

Trying not to get too excited but this really does look like the best Draft class of the JD era so far.

An average starting RT in the 4th would be great.  That would mean he could hold his own.  I’d take that.  He’s having a great rookie season considering his potential to add strength this off-season.  He could be a good starting RT.

Yes because the jets do not need a lock down corner in the cover 3 zone

as good as he is, it's a luxury. One they will probably trade for picks one day

LT is a necessity

Especially with the egg shell qb1 on this roster

Offense is more important than the defense in 2022 nfl
