Hmm.

I feel like most of us have been praising him and his moves other than the 2020 draft.

Well keep praising! Cause he has built some foundation with this team. The Jets will be a competitive team for a long time to come

Still comes down to Zach Wilson.  Zach Wilson hits, JD will be known as the best GM in Jet history.....

Right now he's had one terrible draft, one eh draft, one, what's looking like, an amazing draft...

With that said, he has, at worst, shown true competence - which is far ahead of what we've seen in a long tme..

Questionable OL moves are where the question marks are

Mekhi Becton (boom or bust.  Looking more like bust because of injury)

Dan Feeney (Just not good enough)

Greg Van Roten (Depth, but shouldn't start)

Connor McGovern  (Has started for two years, but is probably a mid to lower level rated centre in the league).

Who else are you thinking?

Offensive line looked pretty good today, 5 rushing TDs

yeah, it was ok. and then you have a wasted top 5 pick on an OT that has a questionable career going fwd when there was an better alternative

The Jamal and Sam trade were franchise altering trades. This guy has built the team from the ground up. Probably one of the best GMs in football right now. The young talent he has infused this team with is on a different level

If the Jets win alot more games, he'll surely get credit then.

Wins, then credit.  Not credit, then wins.

What about all the other good moves he’s made? Or should we just focus on the Becton pick always?

It is only in this forum that people haven't been able to grasp what JD has done.

The subtractions were the easy part. No doubt, JD did exceptionally well with the return value for Darnold and Jamal. But the question was always what would he do with the draft picks that he acquired? That’s where I was worried. Thus far it looks like JD has used that capital extremely well. When we get to the point of having to make tough decisions because the Jets are not able to resign all the players they want to, that will be a good thing. It’s a problem the Jets haven’t had in a long time.

wirfs, not re signing Moses, being forced to absolutely bleed major resources to fill holes with sunk costs (Duane Brown, etc). Becton is the big black eye at this point. good stuff elsewhere, but that one is sore
