Popular Post Charlie Brown
Is Zach Wilson really better than Trevor Lawrence???? Well, some Jaguars fans are beginning to state the developing obvious! Did everyone see Lawrence's last-second attempt at a Hail Mary????? https://www.duvalpride.com/showthread.php?tid=37394&page=39 Take a look at a Jag fan's perspective: rumpleteazer Wrote: All you idiots cried and mocked Chris Simms when he said Zach Wilson was the best QB in the 2021 draft class and mocked me when I compared Lawrence to Sam Darnold last week. You ? gullible fan base will really hate yourselves when you realize you literally traded away your best QB in team history (Menshew) Zach Wilson is the best QB from the 2021 class and it’s karma imo for the clear tank Job the jags pulled to get Lawrence. Benching menshew and throwing those games after the Jets beat the browns and Rams has come back to bite this organization. Remember all the laughing and mocking we all did at the expense of the NYJ? Well it seems like we saved the Jets from themselves by taking the worst QB from the 2021 draft class I will never forget after the Jets tanked that game to the patriots on national TV in 2020, mike felger a popular Boston based radio host said these words that I will never forget: “The Jets are tanking to get that Lawrence kid and the way they threw that game was disgusting but I’m telling you when teams do things like this in sports the kid will suck or get hurt, something will happen but he won’t be the player everyone thinks he will be, he’s going to suck watch “ After hearing this it always stuck to me and after the Jets won that game I was so ecstatic but when I see the jags benching the clearly better QB and literally throw the games away down the stretch I knew this wasn’t going to be a happy ending story. Like Sam Darnold Lawrence will always have 1-3 flash plays a game that keep him around _----------------------------------------- Just wanted to post the horror that other fans feel! And no we are NOT ALONE!!!! Let's Go Jets!! 3 4 1

Popular Post David Harris
Would be amazing if it ends up this way. Trevor has a way better build and I think the potential for greatness is there. It’s funny because I wonder if Trevor‘s problems are due to where he plays and would he be doing better if he were on the Jets! Never could say that before. Our offense has a lot of talent. Zach has no limit on his upside. Right now he’s doing what he should be doing which is not losing games for us - getting wins, and growing as a player, getting more experience. his short throws, while not perfect, improved from last week and I can only think of one badly thrown ball where he under threw the deep middle. he should’ve thrown short to Wilson on the fourth and two instead of a deep out to Davis. But that’s very correctable. his arm talent is a beautiful thing to watch. 3rd and 7’s feel very doable because he can deliver a ball anywhere on the field in a blink of an eye. Plus he’s athletic and clutch. Long way to go but I feel optimistic. He’s playing winning football while learning, it’s all you can ask of a young QB. 14
Popular Post defensedoesntgetyoulaid
I was watching some of both games yesterday and this much is true without a doubt: Wilson has a much better arm. Lawrence was trying to push it down the field late on and he looked like Elvis straining to take his final dump. 1 2
Popular Post slimjasi
He’s had a bad couple of weeks. He’s still very talented and has a good offensive coach. He threw a game-changing pick inside the 5 yard line yesterday, which killed them. Having said that, the one thing I saw from Lawrence last year that I didn’t like is when he ran out of bounds inside our 10 yard line with a chance to possibly score and win the game if he really went for it. Zach Wilson would have either scored on that play or had us well inside the 5. He plays with some balls - haven’t seen that from Lawrence yet 6
All Gas, No Gase
Too early to tell. I’m leaning toward Zach though. Trevor had one really good game, then followed it up with 7 turnovers in two games. I don’t even want to imagine JN if Zach did that in year two. If Zach continues to play well on the next two road games, then I’m jumping aboard the Zach hype train.

Last week we were furious with that one pass wilson threw before the half that resulted in a 6 point swing. Will Lawrence improve, maybe. But no way he’s a generational talent, when you have 3 qbs from the 2020 class who most any team would take over him ( burrow, Herbert and hurts). It would be interesting to poll the 30 other gms and ask which qb they want, wilson or Lawrence, knowing all 30 probably would have picked Lawrence before that draft. 2
Popular Post extmenace
Lawrence will be fine. Just like much of the jet fan base, fans of other teams have unrealistic expectations of how quickly a franchise can turn around / how fast a qb learns the game. it’s funny how we don’t see anyone mentioning the “3 year” time frame anymore when it comes to the developing of QBs. The mahomes, Herbert’s and etc have made the majority of fan bases think that’s it’s normal to hit the ground running. It’s not. The qb position is very difficult to play, it takes time. Hurts and josh Allen are recent examples of qbs needing time. Zach is in the same boat. He’ll have his ups and downs but next year is the year where we get a glimpse of what we actually have. 4 2
Popular Post More Cowbell
I love what I am seeing from Zach. I think the light has come on and is shining brightly. Not so for Lawrence. TL is insanely gifted but Zach is doing great and I am looking forward to him being a career Jet.
All Gas, No Gase
Wow! I just watched Trevor’s Hail Mary for the first time. Zach could have farted the ball that far. nycdan
There are a few guys who, sometimes when they throw, you go WOW. Rodgers, Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Brady are the ones that come to mind right now (well Brady up until this year maybe). Zach has that kind of arm. He's not getting the results of those other guys yet, but the physical talent is clear to see. Gives me hope. And like Red said, Hope is a dangerous thing.
GreenFish
The thing is Lawrence looks the part. He is tall and his release point is high. I watched his game earlier today (2nd time of watched him this year). He is good with the short stuff and throws over the middle. He also has good mobility. The only issues i see are that he throws the ball high when targeting WRs does field. Also his sideline throws are questionable. I’ll leave it to the expert to critic his processing skills. With all these QBs, seems like consistency is the main issue. Zach’s arm strength and release are elite though. Trevor is ok to good at both of those. Height and durability are the only reasons I see why someone would prefer Trevor. 3

Popular Post peekskill68
Can't comment on TL, but when you look at the throw Zach made yesterday on that 20+ yd deep out to Davis, that was Mahomes level special. I suspect there are many NFL starters right now that could not make that throw...

Warfish
Also, T.L. was never as good a prospect as he was made out to be. Not even close. People really should stop using "generational" when it comes to the draft. Some of us saw it back then. 2 3

Popular Post BigRy56
I think that by the end of this season, this will be crystal clear. Zach Wilson is not only the most individually gifted of the 2021 prospects, but he also landed in the best situation of the group. 65 Toss Power Trap
I thought both Trevor and Zach would have long careers. QB position is so tough to predict in the draft. Less than 50% of first rounders become decent qbs, let alone franchise qbs.
