Waste future draft capital for the next two years on a great player - that doesn't play. I'm all for it. If ZW turns into a Josh Allen talent - I don't see any reason to roll the dice on a player like McCafrey. But if you have Allenn - just build a strong, smart steady team around him - no reason for last minute tricks. With that said - if they can get him for a 3rd or something - why not. That whole post was a huge cop out. You didn't address anything I was saying, all you did was talk about losing picks and how great that is for other teams. The Bills are loading up for a SB run. You make these kind of moves when you do that. A player like McCaffrey can be a key part of them making it. He runs well and he is a great pass catcher. If he gets hurt, he gets hurt. It can happen but if he stays healthy, you just gave your QB a nuclear weapon. Also, your number two point contradicts itself. You start out even if he stays healthy and close with waste future picks on a player that doesn't play. Having trouble making up your mind there?

So if you're talking about McCaffrey - I don't think it's a good move for them. If you're talking about an abstract, would I trade high picks for a SB. Sure, who wouldn't? Not sure how you can look at a trade like that and not take into account the likelihood that he's not going to play very much. So again, if you just want me to say -yes trading for a better RB than what you have is a good thing - then I will 100% agree. Upgrading your roster is always a good idea and I have no problem with giving up draft capital to do it.

Well, your whole point is based on him being injured all the time or rarely healthy as you put it which really isn't true. His first 3 seasons he played in every game. His last two, yes, he had some injury problems but this year he hasn't missed a game yet and there is no reason to think he will. He has been healthy more than hurt over his career. Major, devestating injury Mccaffery's worst injuries were soft tissue stuff and an ankle sprain. Never a serious injury. You are wrong on both counts.
