Somehow I don't think thats how that one would play out.

Happy North Carolina GIF by Carolina Panthers

He's 100% not who you think he is.

Dudes lucky to still be collecting a paycheck.

Joe’s really painted himself into a corner on this one.  He’s implying that Douglas made a mistake letting Robbie go.

The dude needs to win outright to have a chance at the ball. His play style is a weak home run hitter with poor efficiency. No fight s*** for brains and a s*** playstyle.

For further evidence:

"Anderson is coming off of a 2021 season in which he was one of the worst starting wide receivers in the NFL. In 17 games, he caught 53 of 110 targets for 519 yards and five touchdowns. Here are some of his efficiency rankings out of 91 qualified wide receivers (50+ targets):

Yards per route run: 0.83 (88th)

DVOA: -33.8% (89th)

Catch rate: 48.2% (89th)

Yards per target: 4.7 (90th)

While poor quarterback play in Carolina certainly played a part in Anderson’s downfall, much of it was his own fault. His 8.6% drop rate ranked 72nd out of 91 qualifiers. His 23.8% contested-catch rate ranked 85th."

Agreed.  The best QB he ever played with was Teddy Bridgewater.  That lasted all of one season and Anderson topped 1,000 yards.  If he can do that with Teddy B, imagine an upper tier QB.

Didnt he choose to sign with the Panthers as a free agent?

Yes.  Would he have done that if he'd known they'd deal for Darnold the following season?  Probably not.

I agree, the two years in which he had Average qb play with mccown and teddy bridgewater as his qb, we was a 1k WR. With Darnold and now baker, he can’t be utilized. Robbie isn’t elite, but he’s a good #2. I’d like to see what he could do with consistent / competent qb play.
