You can see the difference in Saleh between last year and this one. He was in teaching mode almost exclusively all last season, only getting a little animated in the Tampa game and a couple other closer ones, but it was all about teachable moments for him. He was also consciously trying to tone himself down on the sidelines last season. I recall him saying that as a head coach he felt he needed to be more stoic. I’m glad that this year he’s just being himself, and the players are quite clearly responding. There’s nothing phony about him running up and down and onto the field, and you can see the players love the guy. They're doing the right thing with Zach right now. They’re trying to develop a QB. They’re taking the pressure off of him, and he’s doing what they’re asking him to do. All while winning games. Popular Post football guy Posted October 17, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted October 17, 2022 Never thought the defense was as bad as they played last year, but can be honest that I didn't expect them to be this good this quickly. Saleh's scheme isn't overly complex, but it requires everyone on defense to be in lockstep in order to allow the personnel to play fast and free. I was fishing in Mexico yesterday and following the game with play by play texts from a buddy. He was too stoic and then he was a buffoon getting pumped up on the sidelines. Ulbrich was the worst DC ever. Many were ready to get rid of JD just so we could go all in on Sean Payton. Let's reboot 3 games into Saleh's second season. We were going with a coach that was burnt out and needed time off. We went that way with Parcell's and after a few years he got tired. Also, Sauce is now in charge of calls in the secondary another huge change. Also let's not read too much into thus game. Both defenses had a huge advantage because they were facing the same offense they run and run by brothers no less for even more insight.
