While the Jets and their fans were celebrating a huge win on the road against the Green Bay Packers yesterday, wide receiver Elijah Moore appreciated the victory, but had something else on his mind.  The second-year speedster decided to make those concerns public via his twitter account, first saying:

If I say what I really wanna say…I’ll be the selfish guy…we winning. Grateful! Huge blessing! All I ever wanted. Butter sweet for me em but I’ll be solid. So I’ll just stay quiet. Just know I don’t understand either. https://t.co/mROuef1ejd

Moore than followed that tweet up by letting fans know that while he’s not thrilled with his lack of targets, he’s happy the team is winning.

“I support all of my teammates 100 percent too. Dey know it what it is! I’m behind em like no other. Everyone rocking out neeeeds to keeep rocking out dats part of why we winning! Don’t get it confused either.”

The tweets were in response to Jets beat writer Rich Cimini pointing out the fact that Moore had zero targets in the team’s win, a curious number for sure.  And even though Moore was light on the criticism, some fans will undoubtedly take issue with a player voicing concerns about personal production while the team is playing its best football in years.

Frankly, I'm glad he is upset at the lack of targets. He should be. But, perhaps the reason behind it is that he is competing with Berrios who has a knack of making the most of each of his opportunities. If I am LaFleur, I'd sit done with Moore and figure out what he fees best about in his game and then try to incorporate a few plays into the game plan, but I'd also let Moore know that he has control over his touches --- he should make the team WANT to have the ball in his hands.

I don't like that he did it but it also then forces them to have a conversation about it and the passing game. More conversation there is the better. So...let's hope some positive comes out of this.

Yup. Same with the defense a couple of weeks ago, it'll force them to talk about it and hopefully the passing game improves.
