Is it tho? he spent time there this summer and knows the players and knows the sport. Frankly I don’t know is better suited to add commentary. Media? Yea right. Current coaches? ..like you’ll get an honest take from them or anyone else in the building.

I get that Moore is being juvenile but you’ll never convince me this “theme” exists entirely on the egos of the players.

frankly, this whole thing is overblown nonsense.  But this place and the NFL Media, particularly from NY, love the drama. It wouldn't surprise me if the Jones to Kraft "don't f*kc with me" was staged.  Moore behaves like an immature child, probably without any notice to or from his agent, and here's the result. The only way he gets traded is if he continues his tantrums or some team offers us a 2nd or better, unlikely, but stranger things have happened.

Is it overblown nonsense and the fans and medias fault or is Moore an immature child throwing tantrums?  Gotta make up your mind champ.

He is an immature child throwing a tantrum.  He needs to grow up.  And it is also way overblown. This isn't the first time an NFL young player throws a tantrum and it won't be the last.  It all depends on how he reacts to the situation.  But thanks for the false dichotomy... they are always fun.

Name me a similar situation to this

1) Elijah thinks he's WR1 after last year.

2) Jets rumored to want to trade for college buddy AJ Brown

3) Jets decided not to trade and take Garrett Wilson. We then learn that #10 would have gotten Brown to NY based on Eagles trade

4) Moore upset he doesn't get to play with his buddy

5) Seeks out Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye 3 weeks after the draft to have dinner together.

I'm just reading tea leaves here but something doesn't smell right.

Don’t forget the jets nearly got tyreke hill.  They have been really trying to upgrade the wrs, and plus they signed 2 TEs in FA and drafted ruckert.  The jets were never going to use moore the way he wants to be used.  They resigned berrios and drafted hall too.  49ers east.

Yes, Elijah Moore is the first NFL player in the history of the league to demand a trade with years remaining on his contract. An amazing precedent never seen before.

Wouldn’t dispute any of that.

But here’s the rub. Younger players have never been more me-centered, money focused — and —  the stage has never been brighter and contracts never more lucrative

So, it is what it is. Learn how to manage that reality or perish.

Yeah I don't understand why people are talking about this or writing articles on the topic.....makes no sense to me I can't figure it out.

there's talking about it and reporting on it.  And then there's overdramatizing it and blowing it up way out of proportion.  I lean towards the former.  You're a proponent for the latter.  Leave it at that. No point in continuing this back and forth.

This forum is drama queen city.

Agree wholeheartedly. Its not just athletes.  You can see it in the workforce with this particular age group. I'm talking pre-covid.  Its the me-first generation.

Again bizarre benching a guy who complained and replacing him with a different complainer. But we’ve heard little from Mims recently so maybe that earned him being activated.

Mimsy didnt complain.  He asked to be traded so he can suit up on gameday.  Jets said no and mims shut his mouth and continued to work.

Moore asked for more targets, was told no and went after his OC.

Not even compareable.

I just hope we don’t keep him around

all he will do in time is poison the well

A disgruntled player is hardly a reason for a forum meltdown, but no one is surprised to see it happen anyway. Ultimately I won’t lose  any sleep over Elijah, and clearly his a immaturity is driving this…

But it would be a lot easier to dismiss the whole thing altogether if our passing game had some consistency over the last couple years. It would be easier to draw conclusions with less peaks/valleys from week to week. But the fact that passing has been inconsistent, and he has had splashes of success leaves the door open just a crack. Just enough to invite public divisiveness. And the fact this happened with Mims a year ago just throws little extra gasoline on it

Dude. I work as an Employee Relations specialist for a company of 20k staff. Translation I spend all day dealing with onerous staff who feel victimized by anything from bad weather to perfume. I agree 10000%. But as I tell my directors and Leaders - you can’t change that, but you can learn to manage it - and therefore control it.

Same responsibility lies on every GM’s lap.

Some of you are acting like Moore got 5 targets and he's pissed he didn't get 8.

0 targets and a dwindling snap count (90 % in Week 4; 66 % in Week 5; 58 % in Week 6) would make any highly-drafted WR justifiably pissed off.  He got more targets in Week 3 than he's gotten SINCE.

He was counted on quite a bit in 2021.  None of you, in his shoes, would be cool with spending an entire Sunday jogging around and not getting to do the one task his job asks him to do.  Yet here you all are turning on him with one tweet.

Cretins.

I'm with you.  ODD.  Oppositional Defiant Disorder.  This forum is so predictable.  I'll go on record to say Moore will have a great rest of the season.  No question he handled the situation poorly, but we've all made bad decisions when we were 20-somethings.  The kid just wants to contribute.  Saleh will let him cool off this week, incorporate him more into the game plans going forward, and Moore will finish with respectable stats by years' end.

I'll go on record Moore isn't active again until after the bye, and possibly all year

Droppable in all formats

No one was in the room when Saleh and Moore spoke.  You may be right.  Or, it's not as big of an issue as everyone's making it out to be.  It'll be interesting to see how this unfolds.

There's this mims redemption arc that people are fantasizing about, like they are going to start throwing bombs to mims to rub it into Moores face

I suspect they can't give Moore or mims what they want because the qb is too much of a risk of turning it over

Mims is going to be out there blocking and being a decoy and maybe even kickoff coverage

The coaches aren't irrational and neither is Moore

They just can't give X the targets right now because they are protecting the qb with the run game

Zach's "it makes my job easier" press conference didn't exactly help matters
