Makes sense. But my guess is the Raiders aren't willing to sell off pieces just yet. They probably still think of themselves as contenders, even at 2-4, and if so, Jacobs has been a big part of that this year. Also depends on whether they think the pick(s) they could get back in a trade now would strongly outweigh the compensatory pick(s) they get by Jacobs signing elsewhere. Lol, I like how you assume all the jets you've rooted for weren't as "sinister" as Hunt. He did something really bad that resulted in zero charges, zero hospital visits etc... If it wasn't caught on camera you would be begging for this sinister player to be on the jets.

And your use of statistics veers uncomfortably close to stereotyping, for my tastes. Yes, I am sure some player I like did some thing I don't like. And yes, knowing it changes the situation. Because speculating and knowing are very different things. Ultimately, it's up to each of us who and what to support, and what we find important. If domestic abuse simply isn't something you care about more than you care about a mid-range RB this season, that is entirely your right as a free thinking human being. But just be honest about it, no need to paint our own players, past and present, as equally bad without actual facts in hand.

varjet
If AVT was still around, this would be a hard one. Without AVT, do we trade real draft comp for a RB? I guess teams routinely gain and lose picks like this to compete. It would be very good for this team to make the playoffs this season, so long as they do not entirely have to mortgage their future. Right now the RBs are Ty Johnson, MC2 and Z Knight, up from the PS. They need at least another RB.

bostonmajet
Heard some talking heads saying, wow, Jets might be buyers in the trade market coming up to the trade deadline, who would have expected that? they have been sellers forever. Then they said Hunt might be the perfect candidate since he isn't under contract next year and isn't getting many touches - who knows.... I don’t think 99.9% of jets fans are looking towards the super bowl, just a postseason birth. It doesn’t have to be Hunt, but a 5-2 team with no playoff games for a decade doesn’t rely on a guy like bam to replace the front runner for OPOY.
