Just curious, if the reverse also true?

If we lose the game, but Zach produced huge passing yards and many passing TD's, is that not good enough for you, because we lost, even if the loss is mostly due to the running game and defense?

Seems to me wins is a team stat, not a QB stat.

At almost all of the QB stats, Zach is amongst the lowest producing this year, same as last.

Let's take it to an extreme, if Zach goes 0 for 10, with 0 yards, 0 TD's, and 2 INT's, and is sacked 5 times, but the Jets win, is that still good enough and we shouldn't be critical of him?

nobody ever said zach is balling out and that he is a stud

you know this but you just want to argue with everyone

hes not turning the ball over and managing wins and quite frankly is managing the 4th quarter very well. He is NOT making stupid mistakes that are costing us the game.

So moving forward, we ALL expect him to improve his stats, thats a no brainer. But for now, he is winning and not losing the games for us.

The optimism around here is that people are happy with 5-2, zach being undefeated and hoping that when he does turn it on it will be glorious

this guy is delusional. Um and this is just me going out on a limb and totally not common sense but the concern here Pal, is that Zach hasn't play Denver every week, he routinely is throwing for 100 yards a game and while yes it is great to see him scramble and get out of sacks from poor blocking, his role as Qb ...thwoing the ball and throwing Touchdowns is non existent.

We are concerned that this week when we need to convert a 3rd and 7 or any play really, that we will throw a check down behind the line of scrimmage and come up short. We are afraid of 10 punts a game our def wearing out. Lets not forget that Denver while having a good def, has a terrible offense and any other probably beats us that day.

Look i dont want to trash Zach because there is some what of a arguably opinion that his is jsut doing what is asked and the coaches have game scripted him this way but the truth is there is plenty of open guys he missed, plenty of open guys we never threw the ball to and it is not because we had a strong running game it was because zach did not play QB well.

Garrett wilson and other WR should be peppered wiht passes all game in-between the runs.

The fact is if Breece Hall doesn't break on to the house we lost that game in Denver.

It is very concerning.

Yet, it's the only position in the game that counts wins and losses as an official stat.

Honestly, I'd call posters bitches more often if it were allowed.

It’s better than the C word which was dropped on me twice yesterday. But it’s ok when you say it to a “hater,” apparently 🤷‍♂️

Well he does know just a little about playing QB in the NFL. So he's got that going for him, unlike the many QB whisperers on here.

I don't give a crap. Anybody watching the games could see how poorly he played especially against Denver and yes I know he played against a very good defense. He still made some poor and inaccurate throws that a NFL QB should make and maybe he should stop running backwards 20 yards behind the LOS every time he gets pressure. I saw Fields last night handle NE's pressure much much better.

Thats a great idea @maxman how about it? Like the "purge" on rick and morty or that movie where everyone is allowed to do anything they want for one day. How about Tuesday Nov. 1st we all get 24 hrs to say whatever is on our minds. OMG that would be fun

When you realize that after 7 weeks of the season, Zach Wilson has the same number of TD passes.....as Braxton Berrios has after 1 pass attempt...

....and one less than Taylor Heinicke has after 1 start.

Breece Hall was stopped on the one yard line twice vs the Dolphins. Would having those two touchdowns vs a division rival change the narrative?

Chris Simms likes Zach Wilson so much because they’re the same player (Simms after 16 starts/Zach after 17 starts)

Kid was running for his life.

Yes, he missed some.... But Come on...He's still figuring it out during running around like a chicken.

He missed passes when he had a clean pocket. What about those? The 1st pass of the game was 20 yards over anyone's head

Do they?

I just checked NFL.com, and they do not have Wins/Losses tracked as an "official stat" for QB's.

I'm curious, if a QB plays the first quarter, but gets hurt, who gets the "official win" or "official loss" in that game, the starter, or the guy who came in in relief?  Do they track Saves in the NFL too?

Wilson is a project QB with some ability who is not lighting it up right now.  Also, unlike dozens and dozens of other QBs young and old he is not losing games for the team by turning it over a bunch.  Especially this year there have been a LOT of games where QBs have lost games due to ints and fumbles and put up nicey nice stats.

Now I have no issue with people not being a fan of Wilson or thinking he is not the long term answer but the lengths some people go on here just makes them look bad and stupid.  See Mac Jones, Bailey Zappe and the Pats last night.

It's hard to make mistakes when you never throw the ball downfield beyond 5 yards and he was actually lucky that he didn't have an INT and a fumble that game. He was bad.

youre making excuses. The bottom line is he didnt turn the ball over. period. Yes, he needs to improve his numbers. On sunday I am confident you will see a more well rounded zach. its simply bound to happen
