Not to mention Tomlinson at guard. Now I know your snorting something. We had guards that were waaay better than 9 games of Tomlinson when 8 of those games he sucked. I think Brandon Moore might have a slight edge on Tomlinson or the left guard I guess a guy named Alan Faneca!

The tweet had Wayne Hunter  listed as a starter. .... I dont think they know who Wayne Hunter is because the Wayne Hunter I remember was one of the worst O linemen in recorded history.

Wayne Hunters turnstile impression still haunts my waking eyes..

Oh I agree. Wayne Hunter was hated! He was the original turnstile! Most all Jet fans knew how bad he was for the Jets!

This was actually pretty fun..

Offense

QB- Zach Wilson

RB- Breece Hall/TJ/Leon Washington

FB- T rich

WR- GW/Braylon/Cotchery/Moore

TE- Conklin

LT- DBrick

LG- Faneca

C- Mangold

RG- B Moore

RT- AVT

Defense (let’s say it’s a hybrid but base is 4-3)

RE- Carl Lawson

DT- Quinnen/Jenkins

LE- Shaun Ellis

ROLB- Pace

LOLB- Kwon

MLB- Scott/Harris

CB- Revis/Sauce

CB Nickel- MCII/Reed

SS- Whitehead

FS- Rhodes

In 4-3.. Start Harris at MLB

In 3-4.. Harris/Scott, Lawson at ROLB, Kwon at LOLB, Ellis/Q/Jenkins on the line

K- Feely

P- Weatherford

KR- Leon

PR- Berrios

ST Specialist- Hardee

Gadget- Brad Smith

Head Coach- Robert Saleh

OC- LaFleur

DC -Rex Ryan

Toughest decisions were QB, MLB, and RT. I took AVT over Woody because he’s one of our best players in years and he can be moved all over the line if needed. Wilson over Sanchez because of.. potential.. I guess. I’ve seen Sanchez already with one of the greatest OLs I’ve ever witnessed, I’d like to see Wilson get a crack at it. Leaving Mosley out was tough but that Harris/Scott combination at it’s peak was nasty.

Lastly I know it’s controversial and would be one hell of an interesting dynamic, but I’m letting Saleh coach this team and Rex run the defense. That would be fun as hell now wouldn’t it?

Slight?

If Moore was able to switch from DT to G, I'm sure he'd have had little trouble moving from RG to LG.

Faneca was cut after that 2009 season for a reason, even though 2010's pay was almost all guaranteed. He was still well-regarded by reputation by then (not totally unlike Mosley now). Still a starter, but his deserved probowl/all-pro days were over. If 2009 was his best-ever season, no voter would've given him a probowl vote that year, and he certainly wouldn't have gotten cut.

QB- Sanchez

Why Woody at guard and AVT at RT? Woody played LG 1 year in his career - nearly a decade before 2009 - and AVT has played RT 3 games in his life.

Also the idea of putting Hall behind the dancing bear on the depth chart is...well I don't much care for it, except for maybe passing downs when he was staying in to block. Hall isn't a nominal upgrade despite hardly running behind the NFL's premiere OL like Jones. Without a great OL a healthy - and younger - Jones was just a 3.6ypc back for us.

I was never a great fan of Sanchez's but Wilson has hardly outplayed anyone yet, Sanchez included, so that's fair. Sanchez was a moron QBing a SB team. Hold your nose and pick one. Hopefully Wilson starts to really look like the guy they hoped they were getting when drafting him at #2, and not just a wow on-target laser once every few games.

Keller vs. Conklin is pretty close, too. Both had/have some facepalm butterfingers. I'd still give Keller the edge as a more dangerous & more talented receiver (likely his catch % numbers would've been better if he was targeted on more of those shorter routes like Conklin, but in the open field Conklin doesn't have Keller's big play threat). Neither was a particularly punishing blocker; Conklin might be worse, I don't know, but he's also played alongside a worse OL here so his responsibilities may be more difficult in comparison. Likewise Conklin's only been here for 9 games so who knows how much better he'll continue to look with more time in the system (and with Wilson hopefully improving further). I wouldn't die on a hill arguing for or against either instead of the other.

Where would you put Woody and AVT?

I'd still rather roll the dice with ZW over the Sanchize.

The combination of Quinnen Williams and Kris Jenkins (realize he got injured) in the center of the defense is a salivating prospect.

Revis and Sauce in the back provides similar vibes.

D is still weak at edge and ok at linebacker/safety.

O would be an improvement at O-line but hard to imagine any weapon combo being that much better than the individual teams (besides maybe Breece behind that line)

The reasoning for Thomas Jones over Breece Hall is simple. If you have too many explosive plays, your defense can't get enough rest between drives. No one likes a hero. Just get what's blocked and then fall down so the defense can catch a blow on the sidelines. Can't have them tired in the fourth quarter.

ZW isn't an NFL QB, otherwise great list.
