CSNY
Would be another excellent signing by JD. LDT already knows the system and helped stabilize the o line last year as his play was a huge upgrade over GVR although that’s not saying much as @The Crusherwould have been a upgrade at the guard position

Rhg1084
Bring in Dr LDT! I think Mitchell might be back this week as well. Keep adding depth to that OLine.

BCJet
Getting Mitchell and possibly Fant back makes Remmers expendable and allows us to bring in more IOL depth and LDT would be a perfect fit. Great move, lets get this done

Maybe the only reason he's on the practice squad is that he was a 5th or 6th round draft pick for the Jets last year. I wonder if he's making progress on the practice squad? I would love to get an update on him from the coaching staff.

I think Remmers is actually more G than T, but still... I do not know about the team, but I view Feeney as a solid backup C and a guy I prefer not be on the field at G. LDT seemed decent last year. Seemed to stabilize the line, an upgrade over GVR and looked to really help the running game. I don't think PFF liked him much. I thought the Jets wanted to keep him. It seemed like he didn't like the way talks were going and said he was going back to medicine. If he expected to sign elsewhere he misjudged the market, but he is a low risk signing that should be ready to contribute fairly quickly. THE BARON
LOVE IT. I enjoy watching the line play and I felt he could be a pro bowl quality guard. Have him and Herbig at the guard positions would be fantastic. I hope they both wind up as long term starters. Then AVT can go back to RT.
TheClashFan
Well, since LSD is probably not going to happen for the OL, bring back LDT!

Have him and Herbig at the guard positions would be fantastic. I hope they both wind up as long term starters. Then AVT can go back to RT. Becton competes for starting job on OL next season. While AVT can man the RT position next year, I didn't realize he only has 32.1/8" arms. Mitchell has longer arms than AVT. While I don't know if this means anything, it is something to consider. BTW Duane Brown= 34.1/4" Becton= 35.5/8" I realize Becton has been a huge disappointment, but if someone can get the fire lit..... he could be a force for the next 10 years. Max Mitchell: Build/athletic profile The main reason that Mitchell slipped to the fourth round despite his excellent production is his physical profile. He is a little light, doesn’t have remarkable length, and posted some poor numbers in athletic testing drills. Standing at 6-foot-6 and 307 pounds, Mitchell has the height that teams crave in their tackles but his 307-pound weight ranks at the 27th percentile among offensive tackles in the history of the NFL Scouting Combine. Length is another concern. Mitchell’s 33.5-inch arm length only ranks at the 26th percentile for his position. Mitchell earned a Relative Athletic Score (RAS) of 5.55 out of 10, which is fairly low for a drafted prospect. The average score for players who get drafted (regardless of position) is usually about 7.5. Seen below is Mitchell’s RAS profile, showing how he compares in various areas to the average offensive tackle prospect. You can see that he failed to stand out in any category except for the 10-yard split (1.78), where he showed solid burst at the start of the 40-yard dash before slowing down over the final 30 yards of the run. He struggled in the vertical jump, three-cone drill, and bench press. Max Mitchell, Louisiana (94.8) – Drafted R4-111 by N.Y. Jets Bernhard Raimann, Central Michigan (94.6) – R3-77 by Indianapolis Tyler Smith, Tulsa (92.3) – Drafted R1-24 by Dallas Luke Goedeke, Central Michigan (92.2) – Drafted R2-57 by Tampa Bay Darian Kinnard, Kentucky (91.9) – Drafted R5-145 by Kansas City Khalil Keith, Baylor (91.7) Ikem Ekwonu, North Carolina State (91.6) – Drafted R1-6 by Carolina Everett Smalley, Air Force (87.9) Jordan McFadden, Clemson (87.4) Kellen Diesch, Arizona State (87.2) – Signed as UDFA with Miami Zachary Thomas, San Diego State (87.2) – Drafted R6-186 by Chicago
