We have to continue to prove that we belong. Huge game on Sunday.

SB contender implies they are favorites of some sort. As of right now we aren’t. However, AFC East and the conference as a whole is wide open, so while we may not be favorites, we are built to go on a “shock the world” type of a deep run. 
 

Let’s see if it happens. Beating NE puts us in the drivers seat of that happening. A loss this week and we’ll need some help along the way….

i thought contender implied they could contend?  In fact, I don't think it's implied.  I think it is expressly stated.

that's semantics lol. Look at teams who are labeled "contenders" year in and year out....they are some of the favorites to win. Like the Chiefs, Bills, so on and so forth. We aren't looked at in that same tone so I'm not putting them in that category.
