Popular Post Spoot-Face
Good for him. I loved his story and admired the adversity he had to face, and really wanted him to thrive here, and was bummed when it didn't work out. Glad he can at least find some success somewhere else. 16

Beerfish
Here is some trivia, McCagnan once was the director of player personnel (1993) for the team Mauldin just played for this year. Ottawa, though their last name has changed since then.

varjet
It would not be unheard of for POY types in the CFL to try and play in the NFL.
AFJF
Happy for the guy. Thought he could've been at least a solid rotational guy in the NFL but obviously the NFL disagreed.

History Following the 1996 season, years of ownership and management issues resulted in the Ottawa Rough Riders franchise folding after a storied 120 years.
Beerfish
He was pretty good the previous year as well. He will probably get another shot at the NFL after the year he had if he wants it but he is no Cam Wake athletically. Financially it makes sense most often to go back and have another shot at the NFL. A lot of players end up enjoying playing in the CFL and more than a few have made Canada their home but the CFL has been hit really hard by the pandemic as it is more of a gate driven league. KRL
Good for him, I wonder if he'll give the NFL another shot. Those stats are impressive and should get someone's attention. Cam Wake was a CFL star before coming back to MIA

Career CFL backup QB goes to NFL and makes practice squad only to come go back to the CFL and become OPOY.

ACourseinMiracles
This reminds me of something a coach(Don't recall who) said along the lines of, you know how good you have to be to get cut from an NFL team.

At the end (spoiler alert) never mind….those of you who haven’t seen it, see it through to the end. See it with an open mind. It’s filled with countless symbolisms. Ahead of its time, in fact, it’s timeless.

Almost getting eaten by your own cat also creeped me out.
