Wilson is in the midst of the come to Jesus moment of his career. The Jets will likely give him another year at the very least, but i do think he’s going to have to win the job back.

Jesus didn't become Jesus by handing guys like Wilson the starting job.

He definitely has trade value. If they got what they got for Darnold, they’ll get something for Zach. A third and a bit isnt a crazy thought. JD has a history of getting more than we expect.

Unless he requests it, I doubt he gets moved.

As much as this fan base hates Darnold he actually had good games his first couple years with a terrible supporting cast and the 2 most putrid coaches ever.  Even Tom Brady can’t get W’s with Todd Bowles. Oh and Darnold won yesterday

Wilson has shown nothing

Rosen drew a 2nd.

they need to do something fast about his reputation as a head case.  You see guys get sniped when they leave, but it’s pretty unusual to see a QB sniped while on the roster.

the Jets twitter troll on his jersey was really stupid. This team is really bad at managing the messaging.

Rosen ruined Zach's trade value.

You guys keep repeating the same mistakes.  Wilson is not talented.  He can throw the ball in shorts and a tshirt or in college facing community college defenses I’ll give you that.  He has some mobility.  Fine.  He’s totally inaccurate, can’t make reads, is indecisive even on plays that specifically designed for him to throw to the first read who is open

The media hype for Wilson 2 years ago was asinine hot air

I agree and I also think the Jets will move on from him next season but there is absolutely a market for him. There will be teams that will believe they can fix him.

The problem is he isn’t just bad he’s also now a known malcontent

That isn't going to last. Zach is just immature.  He will grow out of that. Zach is going through some serious humbling  right now. All the times before when Zach was on the sideline watching he was injured and rehabbing. The team was handling him like a valuable asset. Now he is being told you are not good enough to start and we are going to have you run the scout team and stand there in street clothes on the sideline. There is no way this isn't  knocking him off that high horse he has been riding.

And half this board said they should cut Darnold or trade him for a bag of footballs or a bottle of Gatorade. It’s classic Jet fan melodrama.

I’m not suggesting he fetches the same as Darnold. Wilson has had a couple of decent games also and he’s got a much better arm than Sam and may have actually been working with less last year. It’s naive to think that one of these coaches won’t think that they can fix Wilson.

He has trade value.

Great QB's aren't humbled or humiliated.  Humbled QB's who have a brain find their way to ESPN.

It either pisses him off and creates a fire inside him to prove people wrong resulting in him focusing on what it takes to be a successful QB in the NFL, or he simply likes the lifestyle of being on an NFL team, continues "as is" and welcomes a career of being a backup QB.

Right now he's not good enough or focused enough to be an NFL backup.  It's one of if not the biggest reason he was inactive and benched.
