If Mike White plays terrible next week and the coaching staff lets him play the following week and he blows that game too ... and the Jets miss the playoffs ... You wont be able to tell me that this is Mike White's team.

1) Not happening

You would have to define "terrible".

He would have to be historically bad for the team (or the fans) to regret the decision to move on from ZW.  Right now the only regret I see is blowing the VERY winnable game against the Pats because they refused to make the move sooner . . .

Two things.

First, Mike White makes it look so easy.

Second, it must be killing the front office and coaching staff to watch Mike White make it look so easy after watching Zach Wilson make it look like he was calculating Pi while bouncing on a trampoline balancing spinning china on 6 foot sticks blindfolded.

The team really respects White. He gives them the best chance to win on gameday. He's going to have bad games just like some of the great quarterbacks do, but he's the QB we ride or die with. The team really has embraced Mike White. This reminds me a little of Kurt Warner in 1999. The quarterback that no one wanted, then had a season no quarterback has ever had. In the opener he threw for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns and won player of the week honors.

1- Even though I keep hearing the Bears defense is trash, Mike White still outperformed every QB that's faced them this year.

2- Zach Wilson wouldn't have put up a performance like this against them.  If Zach plays yesterday, my guess is we beat them 17-10 where Zach puts up 175 and 1TD on a generous 60% completion percentage.  

This should be Mike Whites team until the end of the season.

whether they stay with white or go back to wilson really depends on well white plays from here on out. imo minny is winnable.  minny has been doing it with 4th quarter comebacks all season (the bills game was another one of those once in a decade wins). but there's a reason why they've been down so often in the fourth quarter.  the jets need to take care of business.

Chicago's D has never been nearly as beat up as they were vs Mike White.

Now he faces the next worst defense in the league in Minnesota ... Another litmus test he should easily pass.

Bills game should.be a decent challenge, though still nowhere near the Pats.

If Mr White soundly defeats the Vikes and finds a way to win in Buffalo ... Then I can see giving hime the team for the duration of the season.

I'm all for moving on from Wilson after this year - if that's what JD thinks is in the best interest of the organization.

Even if I do/did see more positives than most - Zach has been a major disappointment - while the rest of the team has been a nice surprise.

Ultimately, I want to win and don't want to waste this young talent - on rookie contracts - on struggling QB play.

 i would think that your boss would think differently after he just sent the same guy you complained about home for a few weeks for preforming poorly.
