Not one throw away. That does not happen often. He’s also wiling to take a hit to deliver the ball. Lots of good stuff there. Let’s keep this train rolling through Minnesota.

It's  nice to see a guy step up in the pocket and one that has sound footwork. Another thing is when Wilson is in shotgun, he always takes a five step drop. White does drop back but a lot of time it's  about 3 steps or less jist to set his feet. There were times when he just turned his hips and threw.

White is processing so much faster than Wilson right now, it's like they aren't even playing the same sport.

Wilson has more athletic ability and pure arm talent, but White is currently the better QB. By far.

Great to see the QB - and the rest of the O - playing with such confidence.

Still don’t get why Flacco played

I believe they just didn't want the controversy. The GM was definitely not happy with him in there last year. It's a major kick in the n*ts when your 2nd pick overall is looking like a ****. Remember also MB was looking really suspect also. This draft has really saved face and now they can make this move.

I agree, but what gets me about this is, sure, you may have missed on the number 2 pick. That happens to every GM. Not every GM has the ability to find a 5th round guy who has been cut and scoop him up on his potential. JD can totally spin this if need be as seeing something in Mike White when no one else did. That could be a feather in his hat.

If he "saw something in White", he never would have used a # 2 overall pick on a QB in the first place.  Nor would he have d**ked around by bringing Flacco back multiple times.

Trading down a few spots in a loaded 2021 class and bringing in a veteran (a more capable one than Flacco) to compete with White would have been the play.

I'm a huge Douglas fan and have been from the jump.  But he botched things at QB in 2021 and spent too long in 2022 honoring a sunken cost.  To his credit, however, he's seeing the error of his ways.  And the rest of the roster looks fantastic.

Further proof of how difficult QB's are to evaluate; even top-tier GM's mess it up from time to time.  Ozzie Newsome drafted Kyle Boller high, after all.

Statistically, the majority of QB's miss.  But like you said, he's built the team, he's a player away it would seem now. Is White that guy? I guess we will find out soon enough.

Watching this tells me Mike White got a bad rap around here with his arm strength. He isn't  going to throw it 70 yards like Allen, but this guy has some zip on the ball and threw accurately  into some tight windows. This guy can be our QB. I think the Bills won't  have the same success as last season when they sat on the intermediate routes. White can make a 30 or 40 yard throw.

Yup. The game manager thing gave people the impression he has a weak arm. Nope. He can sling it when he needs to. His Arm strength isnt Josh Allen level but more around Tom Brady which is plenty strong.

Mike White pulled a Zach Wilson and short hopped one wide receiver screen pass to Garrett Wilson early lol.

He really only made one bad decision all game and it didn't hurt the Jets. It was a near flawless performance. That's how an NFL offense should look.

It was better than an NFL offense normally looks. It looked like an elite NFL offense, which is a direct 180 from last week. Granted, the difficulty in defenses was also almost mirrored, but this is more of a difference than just easier defense.

I noticed LaFleur called different and more varied routes than when Zach was QB, particularly short routes over the middle to open receivers. I remember the routes over the middle being longer when Zach played. Zach’s missiles were probably uncatchable when on target at such short range.

Zach also couldn't see those receivers.

Yeah, his draft profile was he had a big arm.

His big issues were slow release - and lack of athleticism.  Athleticism for a pocket passer is overrated and his release seems fine to me.

Yup. He has a good arm. Seems to take some off it though so that it’s easier to catch. But he zipped that ball between two defenders on the first pass to Moore. So he definitely has some juice.

I think Zach has a quicker release. But White’s release seems perfectly fine.
