We have a game up on NE but they have the tie-breaker. Now BAL and SD could both flop but BAL has an easy schedule so we can't count on that. So for me, I'm more about best chance to make playoffs even if it means not winning the division. This year wasn't even about that so it would be a huge win. Ergo - I want NE to lose and lose and lose some more. Now....if we win in MIN and BUF somehow, then all bets are off and it could come down to that last game in MIA for the division but that's a 'next week' problem. Agree, because the goal (as we stand) would be to just get in. Plus if we beat Buffalo again it'd even out our records plus we'd then own a tiebreaker against them. Same goes for Miami. If we win the rest of the way we'll be in first place. If we don't, I really just want them to make the playoffs, where anything can happen to make the scenario just as good as winning the division. Particularly since it's more than possible the division winner has to play WC weekend anyway. Of course, not that any of this matters. The outcome doesn't change because of our desires, but if I was rooting while watching the game? I root for a tie, lol.

If the Jets beat the Bills again...they have the tiebreaker on them. Same goes for another Jets win against Miami. But...if Pats beat Bills and Jets are tied with them...Jets lose on tiebreakers. So... I want the Bills to win. Then for the Jets to sack the sh!!t out of Allen-Tua. Run and pass efficiently behind Mike White vs Bills-Dolphins. And win the AFCE on tiebreakers. With the championship level defense Jets have blossomed into. Plus the resurgence of Jets offense behind Mike White. The above scenario I laid out... May not be easy...but it's doable. I have a slightly different view. I simply don't think our AFCE opponents are going to keep winning with their schedules. They can't. They will be playing each other. A LOT. And the Jets are only one game behind first place in the AFCE. The Pats in particular have a tough schedule because they also play the Bengals and are, in general, the weakest of the 4 AFCE teams IMO (yes, I know they beat the Jets twice). So I believe the Jets just need to take care of business and win. If they can somehow beat Minn. they have a great chance of moving up as high as the #4 spot and sitting atop the AAFCE division. But for that to happen, Buff must lose, Mia must lose and the Bengals must lose. All 3 of these teams will have tough matchups THIS WEEK. defensedoesntgetyoulaid
If I'm taking off my Josh Allen tinted glasses for a moment (they make you see weird things in the redone anyway) then Miami are the division favorites and the Jets are now the hot team coming good at just the right time. NE is like a pimple on everyone's ass. not pretty at all and constantly reminding you that they're there. Bills really need to recapture their early season form they had up until the KC game. They looked majestic back then but have really struggled since. Every win looks difficult and Allen is having to do way too much. I'm hoping Dorsey can adjust his play calls to get Knox more involved as well as the new guy Hines. This Thursday will tell us a lot about how things will pan out down the stretch. If NE handle the Bills fairly easily then even at 8-4 you'd have to think Buffalos playoff chances take a big hit because they have tougher games to come. the defense is in a tough spot at the moment and the Pats will try to run all over them plus they're out for revenge after getting humiliated in the WC game last season. if Bills play like they did vs Detroit then they're cooked
prime21
Its nerve racking enough for me to watch a Jets game and hope for a win so I don't even bother with what is happening elsewhere.
slimjasi
Not hard to me - we want the pats to lose. first of all, they are the pats. second of all, they own the tiebreaker over us. Our path to the division title is the pats losing too many games to be in the mix AND us sweeping Buffalo and/or Miami (very hard but not impossible)

To win the division, we'd have to win almost every week anyway. So what other teams do won't matter. This guy has the right idea. If the Jets win out they win the division regardless of what Buffalo or Miami do. That being said the easiest path to the playoffs is the wild card. Root for Pats and Chargers to lose each week. I'm ok going on the road bc defense travels and none of the potential division winners scare me.

Facts
I think the Bills are going to sweep the next 3 weeks (all AFC East) and win the division. They did this mid-season slump thing last year too and then blazed through the last 1/3rd of the season. Which helps us because it effectively ends the Patriots playoff chances. Wildcard teams; Jets, Dolphins, Bengals.
