Supersonic
How do you respond to that? Is that a chickensh!t statement from a nervous and skeptical Jets fan? Personally, I think it should say "The Jets will win a close one against the Vikings." I truly believe in this team. Can't wait to see the Sauce/DB matchup against JJ. Will the Jets pressure/sack Cousins consistently throughout the game? Will the Vikings open big holes so Cook runs wild? My thought is this game hinges on defense. If the defense can contain the Vikings (for the most part), and slow down their high powered offense, they will win. White just has to be decent, play clean and cautious, and the offense will score enough points to win. Of course, they need to limit penalties and refrain from special teams blunders. What say you? LGJ!!!! 1

Popular Post JiFtheOracle
Friends, the NFL is a match up league. The Jets match up extremely well vs. the Vikings. Static QB, who is average under pressure but takes a ton of sacks vs. the Jets who create pressure with their front 4 better than anyone. Which allows their lock down corners who match up very well w/ the Vikings WR's, to do their thing while they have a veteran Safety duo that does a great job of preventing the big play. A true field leader in the middle who has incredible presnap recognition and does a great job of playing the run, which, the Vikings dont do very well, and the Jets do a great job of shutting down. So, basically, the Jets D is going to make the Vikings 1 dimensional, and the plays into the favor of the Jets pass rush and pass D. This will 100% go to the 4th quarter and the better team will rise to the occasion and the better, more well rounded team who has the best 4th quarter defense in the NFL, is the NY Jets. The Vikings D sucks donkey balls, Smith is the only threat of a pass rush and Mike White's ability to get the ball out fast, to multiple receivers and find check downs quickly, should negate this threat. The Vikings dont defend the run very well either, giving up 4.4 per carry and they're absolutely terrible at defending RB's out of the backfield, which is a strength of White's check down game and aligns w/ Knight and Johnson's strengths. The Jets should win this game. They are the better Football team and match up very well to the Vikings. 13

Darnold Schwarzenegger
Jets defense has been really good this year. But Vikings are going to be a real test. Jefferson, theilien, hockenson, dalvin cook. They have tons of playmakers, and can keep the jets off balance. I expect the jets to have their hands full.

the Claw
9-2 is no joke, however, Minnesota has the potential to be outright manhandled. It’s certainly possible that the matchups favor the Jets; however, I still think it’s a close game with the Jets winning in the end.

CSNY
I think the way Dallas defensive line manhandled the Vikings o line in their win and the fact that the Jets d line is every bit as good as Dallas’s the Jets will win. Maybe not in such a rout but by a comfortable margin ?. Now everytime I feel the confidence in a Jets victory they unfailingly lose that’s why I don’t bet on this dam team and why they are frustrating as hell

68JET11
Exactly how I felt going into the Pats game only to come out a DUD on the other end. Hope that doesn't happen this time around. Warfish
Given how the Vikings have played all year, I'd expect nothing less than more of the same. i.e. a very close and competitive game in their house. It could go either way, dependng on who executes best. Or who gives up an untimely tunrover.

Hex
When the Vikings win, it’s a close one. When they lose, it’s a blowout. Their point differential is +5 as a 9-2 team. If it’s a close game the Vikings will win. The Jets have to close the game out before MIN can
Bungaman
If the Jets D can stop Cook and the Vikings run game, they will win. If Cousins has to pass, it means the DL gets to pin its ears back, and all the good weapons he has will go to waste because pressure makes him a bad QB. I am not worried about the Jets offense - I believe they will carry their weight to the tune of 25-35 points. Jets 30, Vikings 17.
rtnelson
For some reason I feel an off game coming for the defense. I still believe they are excellent and one of the best in the NFL, but every team/squad has an off game. Theyve just been so strong. Not that I think the Vikings will score even 30, but I see a 27-24 score either way. Its really about MFW and him keeping the offense moving. If our O can score mid 20's, we can beat anyone. Another game that feels important and meaningful, December edition! JD for president!
DoubleDown
The Jets have been a good road team this year. Biggs
Love our D. I think Jefferson will get the PI calls if Sauce assaults him the way he has assaulted lesser WR without getting flagged. MN D isn't very good but it's much better than what Chicago put on the field last week. MN also has gotten a lot of turnovers. Could be luck but I think we have to be at least even on turnovers. Think we need at least 24 to win this game. We find out a lot more about Mike White this week.

undertow
Vikings are gonna move the ball as do most teams vs the Jets the key will be forcing as many FGs as possible and turnovers...it's strange I'm not even worried about White and the offense I think they will score points. IndianaJet
Clete Blakeman's crew assigned to this game. They consistently call a tight game with a lot of flags. His crew is second in the league this year averaging 16 penalty flags per game. Might not be good for our "handsy" DBs. https://www.nflpenalties.com/all-referees.php?view=total&year=2022 Note however, Blakeman's crew did ref the Jets/GB game with Sauce being targeted 7 times with no penalties called. Not sure if there were any of those real "handsy" incidents in that game.

And we are the opposite of a "public team" in Vegas - the fact that the line is only 3, in and of itself, tells you that we have a good shot in this game. The only thing I can't get out of my head are the late season collapses of seasons past. I think of 1993. Jets acquire Boomer and start 8-5, only to lose their last three games and miss the playoffs, mainly because they couldn't score any points. I think of 1997, when we started 8-4 with the Tuna, only to lose 3 out of our last 4 games, including the classic loss in Detroit in the final game of the year. No playoffs. I think of 2000, when we started 6-1 (and were later 9-4), only to lose our last three games of the season, including a devastating loss at home to the lowly Lions in week 16 followed by the notorious Christmas Eve game in Baltimore in week 17, when Vinny T and our special teams threw the season away. Chris McAlister (and Jermaine Lewis) are still running. I think of 2008, when we started 8-3 and then lost 4 of our last 5 to miss the playoffs with one of the most talented rosters in the NFL. Chad Pennington clinching the division in our building was a poetic end to an all-time SOJ collapse. I think of 2011, when, despite some early season turmoil, we rebounded to get to 8-5, only to lose our last three games, including the Christmas Eve disaster that propelled Coughlin and Eli to another SB title. Victor Cruz is still running. And although I was alive, I am not old enough to remember the 1986 collapse in which we started 10-1 and finished 10-6. At least we made the playoffs that year and even won a playoff game - only for the double OT disaster in Cleveland to happen. As much as I believe in this very talented young team, I am conditioned to not expect to beat anybody.

clayton163v
We will kick their ass. I have watched them play. Jefferson is everything they say. But he is alone out there. The others are not healthy or playing well. Reed, Echols and MC2 will shut them down while Sauce shadows Jefferson. Hockenson just got there. If they force it to him, we will pick it off. Remember, we only rush four. Our defense underneath is much improved since we stopped blitzing and installed man coverage. Cook will get his yards and Cousins never misses a gimmee. The Vikings feast on defensive mistakes. Lately, we are not making any. We play our game and we will shut them down. The Vikings are not great on defense. White will score on them. I actually expect an easy game. I think they are no match for us. Jefferson has been too much for other team's #1 corners. That is not a problem here. 24-10 with a garbage time score for Minny.
