I think all refs should be reviewed after each game by a 3rd party. If they messed up they should be fined/suspended just like players. 

They have no one to scare their job away.

 Jets are getting corn holed, by Refs! Coach keeping his composure, that is good. On the road, Good team that has played together for years.....We are not yet, yet. 2nd half. Let's see how they come out and play I will be happy if they keep it tight.

Defense is still short a legit edge rusher. Maybe JJ turns into that guy but they aren’t getting enough pressure on third down.

I can freely admit I would have been pissed if they spotted the first regardless, but literally putting it down SHORT of the marker and immediately telling the guys to move the sticks without doing a measurement unequivocally proves the refs know EXACTLY what they are doing.

The challenge was to try and slow the momentum. Think you gotta throw it there even if you know you aren't going to get it.
