Berrios Play in the Endzone - Drop or Bad Pass?

Looked like a drop to me. I’ve seen multiple posts stating that it was a bad pass. What do you guys think now that the game is over?

It was a drop. The ball was right in his hands. That said, the ball could have been thrown better. It's a mix but mostly a drop.

It was a catchable pass. Should have been caught even though it was a tough one to make. That play wa the epitome of the game today. Just not quite good enough.

The defender may have gotten a hand on the ball which broke Berrios concentration, but he needs to catch that pass, no excuses. I also think they should of ran the ball 4 straight plays down there or play action with an easy dink pass to a TE. Just look at how difficult that play is from start to finish. ML has to better than that, you need perfect execution there to score on that play.

The kind of play nobody should get killed over - but I’d say the WR needs to make that catch.  The ball is there. 
 

When you look for something to blame the loss on, look at the offense in the first half and dissect it there.  I’m also sick of stupid trick plays.

Both… but, in that situation, you cannot go to the ground with both arms around it and hugging it to you chest and have it come out… unless you’re dead.

not a bad pass at all.  Very small window to get that ball through over the d-line and in a spot only Berrios could get it.  These WR are in an elite league and that was tame run of the mill type of catch.

It was right in his hands when he contorted his body, which caused him to fall back in a funny way. Even if the D didn't touch the ball, it can make it difficult to catch it if you loose it for a second. It was a tough throw so not blaming White, but it was not a simple hit his hands drop.

If the defender got his hands on it, then bad pass since it was behind. If the defender didn't get a hand on it, then Berrios should have caught it. I can't tell from these angles.

He was still attempting to bring it in after the defender had jostled it with his hand in there - even though he had separated from him. Tough to call it a drop.

A common theme today was MW throwing behind his receivers. It resulted in an INT on the Davis throw and obviously this play. 

Problem with everyone saying these are drops are the fact that the Min. defense was on top of the WRs and influenced those plays.

Drop. If a ball is is hitting you in your body and you have both hands/arms on it what else is there to say?

Davis was being tackled before the ball got there.nit was an obvious PI

 And then there was blatant holding on the run back that wasn't  called.  It's  like Stevie Wonder was the official

Makes no difference. They lost- they’ll lose again next week. I knew that yesterday.

That said. The Jets are an improved team- like it or not. 
 

Playoffs this this year? Probably not. I’m fine with that too. They’re no longer a laughing stock- baby steps. 
 

Is the answer at quarterback on this roster? NOPE!

Are there pieces in place- and a bright future other than quarterback? Yep!!

Pass was behind him but like the drop that turned into a pick on the ball thrown to Corey Davis, the receiver has to catch that pass. They get paid to play as well.

Just ask yourself "if the pass was thrown 1 more foot to the right, would he have caught it"?  There's your answer.  At least 10 other QB's in the league would have thrown a TD on that play.

The receiver was open,  the pass slightly behind the receiver, and the receiver got both hands on it.  The play call obviously worked.  

That said, I run Playaction first play everytime.
