Amazing player but we drafted Wilson, didn't have to pay a WR 25 mil a year, and still have the extra picks....that kind of capital is just over the top we dodged a bullet not trading for a WR.

Wilson is also less likely to become a destructive force. Hill is a couple games of not getting his stats away from becoming a wrecking ball.

You and I are usually on the same page, but I can’t believe you think we dodged a bullet not getting this guy.

The Jets and Chiefs agreed to the trade. It was done if Cheetah chose us instead of Miami. Not only would he have been great here, Miami’s offense would be so much worse without him.

How is that not happening a good thing?

Exactly imagine one of those high priced recievers with Wilson this year?  Would have been a complete disaster.

We got our one without giving up all that capital...I would rather have Wilson on his rookie deal, the extra picks and players than Hill, Cooper, or AJ Brown....plus if we traded for one of those guys we also wouldn't have drafted Hall.

This is getting dicey.
An LA win here and we’re in the 8 spot, if NE wins tomorrow, it’s #9, and yet some of you think it doesn’t matter if Miami wins or not.

btw if we’re in the #9 spot, I said earlier the odds of us getting into the playoffs drops to 28%

Miami goes to Buffalo next week. If they lose (likely) and Jets win we jump them.

Good thing the playoffs don’t start next week.

I get what you’re saying, but I think you’re missing the point. Looking up at one or two teams with 4 games left isn’t a good thing. Especially when NE has beaten us twice.

I think you’re missing the point.   We have to get in front of the teams in our division first.

We aren’t winning the division so that does not matter at all.  We could be 3rd or 4th in the division and still make the playoffs.  All that matters is that we are one of the top 7 teams in the conference.

Oh my.   The stupidity on this board is at an all time high.

You literally have no idea what you are talking about and now resorting to insults when you get called out on it.  The goal is to make the playoffs.

Two ways to do that:

1) Win your division.  That is not happening for the Jets being 3 games behind the Bills with 4 to play.

2) Win a wildcard.  Top 3 non division winners in the conference.   So whether the team is in our division or not it does not matter at all.   This stance that we need to “get ahead of teams in our division” makes no sense.

What you should be saying is “we need to get ahead of ANY team with a chance of making the playoffs”.  A team being in our division has no bearing on us getting a wildcard

The Tua lead Dolphins have always been the same. They play some version of the Houston Texans for 6 weeks in a row for no reason, then get exposed against the slightest competition. Sell your stock.

I don't get the Tua hype. Removing defensive scores.. Miami is a team that doesn't consistently put up points

Week 1 vs NE - 13
Week 2 vs BAL - 42
Week 3 vs BUF - 21
Week 4 vs CIN (Not Tua) - 15
Week 5 vs NYJ (Not Tua) - 17
Week 6 vs MIN (Not Tua) - 16
Week 7 vs PIT - 16
Week 8 vs DET - 31
Week 9 vs CHI - 28
Week 10 vs CLE - 39
Week 11 - BYE
Week 12 vs HOU - 23
Week 13 vs SF - 17
Week 14 vs LAC - 17 ..and 7 of those points came off a busted play where they fumbled and a miracle happened

So in ten weeks of tua playing.. their offense has been good for 4 games. One of those being Baltimore which was another "well, THAT happened".

Three of the four teams they scored 25 or more on have not been great defensively. He has what may be the best 1-2 WR tandem in the league.

They are a team that wins with their defense and the Jets are a better defense.

If the dolphins won tonight, they’d be 2 games ahead of us and the 6th seed would be basically out of play.

Now, we still have a legitimate shot at 2 playoff spots.  The 6th seed and the 7th seed.

Ties are also broken in the division first so us getting into 2nd place would be huge.
