On one hand, you cant justify putting Joe Flacco back on the field of play ever again.  So I get it, on the other, if White gets banged up and needs to leave, is Zach ready to play?

This is the correct move. Wilson is an enigma, but you at least have the possibility of good play. Flacco is what he is. He is a statue and can only succeed with perfect passer protection. We do not have the line for a statue right now.

This should surprise no one.  He is also going to get every chance to win his starting position back next year - as he should.  They took him at 2..  You have to give him one more chance preferably after a summer filled with less milfing and more practice on footwork.

He said zachs being doing a great job. Did you want him to sound happier about announcing a player to be backup? You are reading into this what you want the narrative to be.

What options does he have, Joe statue Flacco or Snoopy Bowl Hero Strevler?   Zach started 7 games its not like he doesn't know the offense.  If White gets hurt it makes absolute sense to have Wilson step in.

true but if Zach gets in and still is bad this should be the final nail in his coffin. im afraid if he doesnt get in at all this year they will still try to start him next year.

this could also be a confidence move. if you made Strev the backup Zach would be crushed.

Flacco really forced his hand here - he simply had 0 interest in that Bills game. I don't think Slaeh in good conscience for the rest of the players on that team could put him in a situation to go back out there.

Then it comes down to Zach or strev. Not going to lie and would not mind seeing strev in the 2 spot - not because he did anything but I am just not convinced Zach has solved his issues in 2 weeks.

Hopefully MW just stays healthy
