The jury is in and MW sucks but we need more information before we can judge BYU (or Darnold, for that matter).

With fractured rib(s), makes sense 10 doctors wouldn’t clear him to play. The ribs take at least 6 weeks to get back to normal.

You know there is still part of me that thinks that this is the exact WRONG way to handle Zach. That is what you want from Mike White. You want Zach to be a playmaker and use his natural elite skills and athleticism to really stress the opposing defense and score points. You WANT Zach to sling it around the field. I think the coaching staff has essentially brow beat him about making mistakes that he became broken and afraid to take any risk.

Mike White said it didn’t come up initially on the X-Ray but his ribs are fractured. They’ll get scans next week and then “go from there”. Knows it will be more challenging to come back on a short week.

Every time I go to the doctor with an ailment, he tells me to take two weeks off from work like that’s a real or feasible thing. If the Jets wanted Mike White to play, their in-house doctors would have cleared him.
