Why though? I can’t imagine Saleh is that tied up in Wilson that he’d rather take the chance and risk missing the playoffs if Wilson implodes.

I also tend to think Saleh is the type of guy who would play the best player at the position, especially when when that guy just went out there and risked his well-being for a chance at a win. Maybe I’m being naive, but I think there is a legit change that White is at risk for permanent damage if he plays on Sunday, which is why they are holding him back

Saleh will do what he’s told. Zach Wilson is protected from on high

Mike White said he talked to 10 different doctors trying to get cleared and none of them would. Called it “frustrating.” Said he’s only feeling “general soreness.” Doctors are just worried about contact

Mike White admitted it was “wishful thinking” when he said there was no doubt that he would play.

10? As in one more than nine? Holy hell even if the 10th said OK the Jets would be seriously reckless to have allowed him to play

I don’t know why people think this is so crazy after the 2008 financial collapse. It’s literally rich and powerful people protecting rich and powerful people. Same as it ever was.

It's really incredible to me how delusional some Jets fans are that they really felt this was an orchestrated hit.

At this point, it’s comic relief. Nothing like conspiracy theories and fans planting the “I’m not watching the game Sunday” Flag. The Jets are 7-6 and are in a dog fight for a playoff seed. It’s been our most productive and entertaining season in years, enjoy the ride.

Mike White said it didn’t come up initially on the X-Ray but his ribs are fractured. They’ll get scans next week and then “go from there”. Knows it will be more challenging to come back on a short week.

Faulty x ray machine.

I'm a wreck right now. Not because I thought Mike White was the ultimate answer or anything, but he's clearly the best QB on the roster right now.

I am rooting for Zach. I hope he turns it around and becomes a star. That's the best possible outcome for the Jets in all of this. Unfortunately, the realist in me doesn't see that happening. I've seen enough that I'm convinced Zach Wilson doesn't have the brain to succeed in the NFL. Hope I'm wrong, pretty certain I'm not. You can see the stupid in his eyes.

But I also think this team can win (again) in spite of him. I think they still even have a shot at the playoffs.

I'm just stunned overall at the injury bug with this team. This year especially is just insane. If we're going to contend for real in 2023, we need some significantly better luck in that department.

I don’t get it…why the need for conspiracy for some? Internal injuries are no joke. Drew Bledsoe almost died from Mo Lewis’ hit on him….

NFL teams are required to be transparent about injuries yet we still have no f**king clue what he’s dealing with unless I’ve missed it while catching up on this thread.

Some conspiracies are true.  Still waiting for a reasonable explanation from someone for why White was buried on the depth chart behind Flacco for so long, btw.

If it’s just that White is fragile then it wouldn’t surprise me. He’s gotten hurt a lot. But the run around with all of this is very Jets. The fact he went back into the game with negative X-rays and just now we’re hearing otherwise raises eyebrows.

I'm still perplexed about what the deal is with Max Mitchell.

Sucks for White. Unlucky break for him.

Get the feeling if jets really wanted it, theyd have White start. Not like players havent played with the same injury. But this is as good of an excuse as they can get to sneak Wilson back in without upsetting people. It's not like its insane for a player not to play with this injury.

I get it, not a good optic. But in my personal opinion, there’s no way the Jets are manipulating doctors to allow Zach to play over White. Just let that sink in, the Johnsons would be fined millions and lose tons of draft picks. When I fractured my rib, initial Dr didn’t see it and then a few days later, another doctor confirmed. I was shocked he went back into the Bills game.

Every time I go to the doctor with an ailment, he tells me to take two weeks off from work like that’s a real or feasible thing. If the Jets wanted Mike White to play, their in-house doctors would have cleared him.

Two things:

1. This is disappointing, just lean into it. Come on, give us a zapruder film breakdown of how there had to have been a second shooter from Woody Johnson's box when Milano turned Mike White's ribs into dust.

2. I don't think you going to your primary care physician for pills to clear up whatever disease popped up down there this time is comparable to an NFL QB seeking an opinion from 10 specialists on a traumatic injury that could threaten internal organs.

Should have known when I heard the Steve Young interview where he killed White and attributed all of Zach’s problems to the one answer to Hughes. The only way they were getting White out of the lineup was through injury, so they invented an injury. Absolute pussy sh*t.

This is crazy talk. White was hurt badly enough that he visited the hospital on the way to the team plane five days ago. No one invented anything.

In this and the Seattle game, the team has a little wiggle room. They can lose one of those but, if they win the other three, they’re almost certainly in the postseason. If White is close this week, but iffy, the wrong hit would almost certainly knock him out for the Jags game next Thursday. As an AFC game against another team on the outskirts of the playoffs, that one’s pretty critical.

It was White’s job to lose and he lost it to injury. That happens. Zach hasn’t won it, but it is probably his job to lose now - however tenuously. If Zach lays an egg on Sunday and White is cleared, White will almost certainly play Thursday. If Zach manages to play at the level he played against Buffalo or better, and the Jets get the win, he’ll be the one to get the nod. It’s about that simple.

I’m not gonna speak for anyone else, but as someone who isn’t thrilled with ZW’s return my reasoning is very simple: he didn’t earn it.

I didn’t want him to regain starter status unless he legitimately earned it. He was just handed the job again. Same as before. It just feels like a silver spoon situation and rubs people the wrong way.

Thats where my dismay in this situation is emanating from.
